I felt like crumpet -- My heart dropped when I read your post. It is so hard to understand how mothers can do something like this. I'm so glad that you left and broke the cycle for future generations. Even if you can't have your mother's company, I hope you find comfort in knowing that you will not do to your kids what your mother has done to you.

But I know from experience how hard it is to be shunned by your parents. I have felt anything from anger to sadness. It is so terrible what this cult does to families! This just shouldn't happen. Nothing should be able to seperate mothers from her children! I know time will heal -- but in the mean time, know that you aren't alone in your pain. There are so many here who can share it with you. Sending lots of hugs.

It seems that for every love bomb, there is a hate bomb inside. My oarents (non witnesses) sold the house from under us too. It recently was on the market for 589,000.00. I would have liked to buy it, but who's got that kind of money. My youngest brother was about14 when he had to move on. His life was a complete mess from that day foreward. He was just 35 when he put a gun to his head.

Please just let it go, like all I see who suffer here.

Spend some time spreading the word about the evil within this cult, but have a life. Being hateful of what was done is self destructive.

So very very sorry, dear. They think they're doing it for Jehovah. They are so mind-f*/&ked, they can't see how

very very un-Christlike this behavior is. Can you send a letter to the old address and write on it "Please Forward"

and request a simple "let me know where you are, Mother?"

put please forward and "address correction requested" it will cost you an extra 41 cents but the post office will send you her new address unless she didn't forward her mail.

How very cruel - I am so sorry.

Wow… I had to come out of lurking to comment on this…….

I can not believe the levels people will stoop to, to try and prove
    a point.

In response to your statement.. "Does she think this will make me come
    to my senses ?"

There is NO WAY that would work for me… I didn’t shun anyone the whole 13
years I was a JW. I couldn’t do it. To think of shunning my own children, totally
and completely, "Just Boggles My Mind."

What do they think will happen, you go back to the religion and all of a sudden
"YOU" believe everything, all of the things you learned since…. Just disappear…
    Ugh… makes me sick.

I personally do not have any family that are JW. But, my "Worldly Family", in
want of a better word, never treated me any different in any way… even tho they did
not agree at all with the religion… That is Love..

I am so Sorry… (((((Hugs)))) I really hate that you have had to endure this.

I'm so sorry. What a horrible and selfish thing for her to do. Take comfort that you are giving your children love, understanding and kindness. They will know you love them forever, unconditionally and they will love you in return.
