The one thing I have gotten from the threads today is to be grateful for my JW mom who isn't shunning me. I know I could push it and she might shun me, but I am glad to have my mom still love me and not be ashamed to show it. I actually called her about 3 posts into this thread to tell her how much I loved and appreciated her. She thought I or she was dying or something-like we hadn't talked 2 times already today! After we established that our mutual good health she was good:) I do not take her for granted at all-I have seen too many posts like yours lately and they break my heart. I am glad my mom isn't a hardcore JW. My biggest fear is that she will remarry and he WILL be.
There is the verse about losing natural affections. The JW leadership is sure trying to beat it out of the flock, and it seems they are doing a darn good job of it. I wonder if they ever feel the shame they should feel?
