For the women...

So, I'm curious as to what you think about the lovely comparison the WT makes to women from the bible...and it is seriously intended as a complement:

    "charming mountain goat"

    "lovable hind"

I forget which scriptures from the NWT contain these expressions. I'm thinking Proverbs? My wife and I always got a big kick out of these whenever we'd run across them in a study or from skimming through the bible.

Editted to add: Oh, and the men can comment, too.... The more the merrier!

Those were from the Song of Solomon. (Only the WTS could ruin the Song of Solomon by comparing their "anointed" class to the shepherd's girlfriend that Solomon was lusting for.)

    Funny, but also offensive.

Animals, such as goats were possessions to the ancients, (and still are). Basically, women are being compared to cattle, with 'alternative' uses!

The WT still views women as chattle without free minds of their own. They have to abdicate their own thinking abilities, which in some cases may be 'superior', to their husbands and to the WTBTS.

Nasty Bible and Nasty Jehovah's Witnesses!

This reminds me, women ARE cows! (According to this WT gem from the past:) Click here
