I've know a few people, here and there, that have been healed...not by a "faithhealer though...they either did their own praying, or a few friends prayed with them...they recivied a healing...don't know if it was a placebo effect, or not...I keep an open mind about it and leave it at that...many things can occur in life with no solid answers...
What's your take on "faith healing" ...

If you think it works "sometimes," how come it NEVER works for amputees?

My take on faith healing. When you get seriously sick you want to get better. Theres 2 posibilities either you get better or you die. Desperate people do desperate things, so when your desperate you contact a faith healer, God, the devil, the gypsy on the corner. And if you die no one takes the credit. But if you live they take the credit.
If faith healing works, Lets see an ampute grow a new limb. Then there will not be any doubt. We could take before and after pictures. No leg, no arm. Then we see a functional arm and hand and a functional leg and foot. This would dispell a lot of disbelief.

I'm with Elsewhere - it's all B** S*** - prayer never did anything for me or anyone I've ever known. For me there is no God, if there is a God - he needs to be fired for not fullfilling his duties!

If you want an amputee to get healed so it can be proved that it was real, then you're only really wanting it as a test. To test God. Jesus didn't test God when Satan tried to tempt him.

If you haven't met James Randi yet, just watch the above.
Also, try Randi's well-researched book.

What's your take on "faith healing" ...Does it really happen, or is it a fake?
I think each person who goes up to get "healed" should be given one of these:

FFM, good question, but for those who will come along here with their "experts" who say it could never happen:
Even if it wasn't the "faith healer", and the person healed themselves, WHO CARES!
As long as they are cured, WHO CARES!

I believe maintaining a positive outlook can help the healing process, even helping cases that doctors have termed terminal.
Faith healing I feel is a means of giving people a positive outlook, but there is nothing divine or spiritual about it.
