I thought Jehovah's name was supposed to be sanctified, not kept a secret. Also, which version of the Watchtower contains the "good news of the kingdom" that is supposed to be preached throughout the entire Erf?
Also, should the troof be kept a secret? If it IS the troof, it should have nothing to hide!
maybe they just don't want non-Witnesses to see the extent of their control before becoming official Witnesses - talk about bait and switch
I think this really hits the nail on the head. The general public has no idea how controlling the Tower is, and the $ociety wants to keep it that way. They offer a little candy at first and in time force feed their jw-swill when a person lets their guard down.

This article reads exactly the way a business story would read in a company magazine if the company had downsized. They put a positive spin on it. "Our exciting new 8 ounce soup cans are creatively designed to look just like our old 12 ounce versions, but the consumer gains the advantage of taking in fewer calories and getting less full! And the best news of all? We haven't had to raise the price of our product!"

This is what stood out to me. Why pray for Jehovah's blessing if he is guiding the actions of the Governing Body? Wouldn't this arrangement already have Jehovah's Blessing?
I also noticed that they are using the term "Witnesses" less and replacing it with "Christians"

If they're only going to be doing 1 edition of each mag for the public:
a) does that mean the foot soldiers will be expected to place twice as many mags? Technically the number of hours in field service should halve as well. It would be interesting to know ...
b) What are the chances of the Awake and public WT being merged into one by say, 2009? More cost-cutting.
