Very true. Before any discussion of Watchtower history you need to have left snippets of information and had casual talks to determine the persons level of interest and openness to even considering alternate viewpoints.
Every discussion with a JW must be done carefully, as it is very hard not to become confrontational, at which point the JW cult personality takes over and nothing gets through the defences.
Thank you for listing the information of the beliefs of the WTS in 1919 in such a way. I never realized all of it before. It really does show that they were just appointing themselves to a position of being the only ones that God approved.

In a tactful way, sow the seeds of doubt a little at a time and they will eventually start to fade, we hope.
