This Post Will Offend Current JWs: Annie Lennox should be avoided

  Over my years in the truth I was told through the grapevine that I was not allowed to listen to certain songs lest Satan possess me. I was told Annie Lennox was a Satanist based on:

  Sweet Dreams (are Made of These) also by Annie Lennox. Don't listen to that song. Demons gave her the lyrics. Or so I have heard.

  Well, Marilyn Manson covered "Sweet Dreams" so it *must* be demonic!

  I thought Marilyns only crime was too much makeup.

  I like a variety of music and I like Annie Lennox.

  The JW organization finds fault w/almost, if not, everything. Always the worst case scenario too.

  I'm sure a lot of the great composers weren't squeaky clean either. But they want to overlook that.

  There seems to be nothing objectionable about the lyrics themselves but it is the source. I guess some demon came up to annie Lennox and said, "Hey, you're a famous musican aren't you? Well, I'm a bit of a musican myself. Trouble is I frighten people because they say I sound too much like a demon. I've been looking for someone to sing my songs. Wanna see some of the stuff I've been working on?" Then Annie Lennox was like "Hey, this is pretty good. Can I use it on my next album?" And so a song was born.

  I heard the song " I wanna sex you up" referred to a happily married couple.

  The macarena was supposed to be pure filth. Forbidden at parties.

  I remember the Macerena was meant to be filthy!

  Mrs Jones was all about adultery. Although a member of the annointed sang it at a cong party.
