Lsd is a wonderful drug with lots of promise for use in psychology, before it was made illegal in the 1960s it was helping lots of people psychologist were using it with very good results. Flash back do occur rarely, proper setting and understanding of what Lsd does will help a person deal with difficult repress feelings that need to be refiled in the mind, this is what usually called a bad trip, and may have some flash backs, these repressed memories need to be come conscious and delt with, when they are great improvements of mental and physical health accure.

LSD, Ayahuasca, shrooms, peyote, do not cause brian damage, but alcohol, and crystal meth does. Most of these ethogens give improved mind performance, and help people break addictions to drugs.

If shrooms enhance that with no negative secondary effects, I'm game.

Drinking too much cough syrup with guaifenisin in it will make you hallucinate! One of my twins is sensitive to this medication. I didn't know it, at the time, but she would always have hallucinations when she got a cold or the flu. Then I learned about the stupid medicine! No wonder she was hallucinating! *duh*

    Nvr,

If shrooms enhance that with no negative secondary effects, I'm game.

If you take a low dose(3 1/2 dry grams) of shrooms it's orgy time, inhibition get lowered and horniess increases, I wounder how mixing Tantric sex with low dose of shrooms, could cause one to get enlightened, who knows?

But for some serious shroom trips I recomend 7 grams of dried Cubanus, with a group of serious searchers or alone in a safe place, in the dark and with some shamonic music, (drumming and rattles). And then listen for the Logos, with each trip the deeper you will go.

FWIW. Magic mushrooms were used for thousands of years for healing by shamans, they are good medicine, that has been crimialize by governments with strong christian backrounds and prejudice. They too were used by noted psychologist with great promise, too bad the government interfered and made these valuble medicines illegal.

As a teenager and young adult in the 1970's, LSD was really quite common. My friends and I used to do it at school. I remember the colors and things melting. I fell out of my chair in class once laughing. The teacher just glanced at me. I think she knew and didn't want to turn me in.

I never had a "bad" trip. I did have some very strong spiritual experiences, though. Timothy Leary was promoting the spiritual aspect of LSD. The bands were singing about it. It was a nice time in my life.

Haven't touched the stuff since then. To make sure the experience is pleasant, it is best to control your surroundings. Good music is a must and nature or quiet settings are best.

Don't confuse LSD and marijuana with addictive drugs. They are not physically addictive. That is what I liked the most about them. You can use them for a while and then stop without withdrawal symptoms.

Does bring back some very pleasant memories. I think we are conditioned when it comes to drugs to easily accept some and demonize others because of society. I feel alcohol and cigarrettes cause much more damage to people than hallucinogenics, but they are legal and socially acceptable.

psychologist were using it with very good results.

Yeah...the key here is, using it under a DOCTOR's SUPERVISION....

As it is, I'm on 'legal speed' (Adderall--for ADHD, primarily inattentive-type...makes a huge difference for my ability to concentrate/ focus--but dosages MATTER quite a bit!!!). Even prescription drugs when used as directed can do irreversible damage to the brain and other body organs...why inflict that risk where it is not outweighed by a medical NEED?

(And you mean psychiatrists, not psychologists...psychologists cannot prescribe drugs.)

    Jx,

You have been indoctrinated by the government about many of these very good medicines that they label as illegal. Nacy Regan's "just say no" shows nothing inteligent, no reasoning, just say no.
