My job involves typing every day. I can type as quickly as I can speak.

Tossing up a huge block of text is easy for me. Maybe that's why I'm so long winded?

I admire those that can type fast sometimes I see people flying when typing and I think how can they do it, I am average for typing I do about 45 words per minute but as someone said the good thing about typing with a PC keyboard is that mistakes can be easily corrected and words or entire sentences moved around. There is also no need to worry about spelling mistakes if using a spelling checker, so much for technology improving life.

I am lucky. I type about 80 words per minute. I've worked for attorneys for the past 15 years, transcribing from dictaphones so I can get my thoughts down quickly. .

Thank you, Mrs. Adler, for requiring everyone to learn to type before they were allowed
to take your computer programming course in high school. Left to my own devices, I would not
have bothered.

I learned to type in the 7th grade and have been typing ever since. I type about 25 words a minute. I think for me typing is much faster than handwriting. I would think if one could not type they would not be attracted to post on a computer site such as this.

I'm probably 35-50 words..I haven't tested in a while. I can type faster if I am thinking but if I have to look at a book or anything and enter that then I'm really slow.

I use just one finger on each hand. I'm a two finger typist.
