So I sent in my letter of disassociation. This is my first day not being a JW. There is an unexpected feeling of exhilaration. I still can't believe it.

It was the same for me when I sent mine in a few years ago, and it was even
better when the elders came around to ask if I still meant it (dumbasses, I'd
only written it a few days befroe). Once they'd acknowledged it, and agreed
to announce me, that was it, I was free. -

Finally-Free
It took over a month from the time I sent my letter until they finally made the announcement at the hall. They made the announcement while I was out of the country on vacation. They probably sent it to bethel for the legal department to look it over first. Telling them to quit harassing me and tresspassing on my property was probably a little too complex for these Awake University graduates to comprehend without extensive evaluation.
