My Mom passed away yesterday. She was a die-hard JW. I tried to explain why I couldn't accept certain teachings but rather than rationally consider what I had to say she chose to believe I was just "confused". She died praying I would get "spiritually strong" which to her meant getting back into the JW program of "true worship". Not gonna happen. I admire her faith though and expect she has been/will be surprised at what has occured after her death.

My condolances, Skeptic. Sounds like no matter what you chose in life, she always viewed you as a good person deep down.
