One Sunday before the public talk, Elder M who was the WT study conductor asked me to be the WT reader as the scheduled reader was absent. During the song between meetings, Elder Q came up to the platform and whispered in my ear that I should sit down, he would be reading the WT. Elder M looked quite puzzled as this change took place with him not having a clue why. For that matter I hadn't a clue why. After the meeting, Elder Q came up to me and pressed a $5 bill into my hand (I was a poor pioneer you see) and told me to get a haircut. After this Elder M came up to me and asked what happened. I told him. His reaction was, "I guess you better get a haircut!"
