I found a job online. Got some spam email but it led to a real job in my field. Yeah a patternmaker/grader job in the midwest, Fort Wayne no less! So I dusted off my resume, updated and reformated it and wrote a cover letter. Sent it off late last night. Now I'm nervous as hell.

    Wish me luck,

    Josie

A patternmaker is usually (in my field anyway) someone who can create clothing patterns by either drafting (using measurements) or draping (using a dressform or in rare cases like custom work using a live body). The company I sent my resume to is a handbag company but the patternmaking princples still apply, they also use a CAD system that I am familiar with.

The spam email that I got apparently came from a site that I had looked at and maybe even gave my email too. But in order to have full access to the jobs they said they had they wanted $14.95 a month. Yeah right! I'm not paying that. But they sent me an email with a minimun of info (title of job and location) and from that I was able to google and find the company website and their employment opportunity page. I'm one smart cookie. lol

The 'ad' at the end of your thread said, "Second Coming Can Be Today", so you probably will not have time to develop a new job! Too bad, it sounded so promising!
