If he did, you wouldn't believe it anyway. Why even ask?

Um, perhaps for the reason he gave - that he wanted documentation because it sounded implausible. Why do you think someone wouldn't believe a documented fact, simply because they don't believe an undocumented assertion?

Really, your comments on this thread have been quite bizarre.

    Hi Frankie,

You might find Bert Webber's book Silent Siege--III helpful. Webber interviewed several of the Japanese involved in their Atomic project. The Japanese exploded their first atomic bomb on August 10, 1945 on a small island in the Sea of Japan. The Japanese surrender 5 days later prevented further testing.

Wasn't that the same "monster island" where Raymond Burr found Godzilla?

    Hi Frankie,

Suggest you read Webber's book and draw your own conclusion regarding his documentation and sources.

    Hi Jim,

Godzilla was awakened by the Hydrogen Bomb tests in the Pacific during the early 50s. Raymond Burr wasn't in the original Godzilla film released in Japan. Burr and and English soundtract were later added for American audiences.

Many Godzilla films have been released since the original including Son of Godzilla which raised some questions since Godzilla has never been married. Later it was explained that the son was adopted.

Most estimates are that there would have been in excess of a million casualties if there had been an invasion of the Japanese homeland, they'd had opportunities to surrender and refused to take them. It probably would have been worse because they were holding considerable stocks of advanced weaponry for the invasion. The Bomb seems like a reasonable option. In addition, I have seen some of the documentation on the Japanese nuclear program and there is no question the intended to use dirty (radiologic) bombs on the West Coast. How advanced they were in the program to produce an actual nuclear explosion is much more vague.

And before you shed too many tears for the poor, innocent Japanese, you might give some thought to the 10 million plus dead Chinese as a direct result of Japanese aggression.

    Fang,

And before you shed too many tears for the poor, innocent Japanese, you might give some thought to the 10 million plus dead Chinese as a direct result of Japanese aggression. So in essence what your saying is, that because the Japanese military committed attrosities, we should not have any remorse over the slaughter of innocent japanese women, children, and non combatants when the US atom bombed, two cities which killed hundreds of thousands. To me this type of logic is very psychopathic in nature, lacks compasion. It is nationalistic to the extreme, where the only people's lives that count are members of one's race or nationality.

Japanese aggression was almost without exception supported by the Japanese people so I'm not sure how 'innocent' they were collectively, so they paid the price for their support of a war mongering, aggressive government. If you want to talk about racism then look no further than the Japanese because they are without question the most racist people on the planet.

Well if we use that type of logic then we could also say that the american people collectively supported the aggression of the US government that invaded Iraq and so if Iraq atomed bombed the american people they were not innocent and they (to quote you) " were collectively, so they paid the price for their support of a war mongering, aggressive government". Which logic I totally disagree with. The Japanese people were duped just like the american people are being duped today by thier leaders. Being duped by a government it doesn't make them worthy of death they are just poor brain washed people who let thier government dictate what they should think.
