Just got back from Vegas. Oh and Jim, just after you left, the weather got pretty nice. Didn't break 100 after the 7th. Sorry!

As for me, I don't care about shows, nightclubs, etc. I'd probably just go for the meetup itself...so whatever everyone wants to do the rest of their time there is fine with me.

I wouldn't need an airfare package deal either.

While we didn't stay there... I think that 'The Gold Coast' hotel is a nice hotel - that is reasonable, too. (http://www.goldcoastcasino.com/)

It is NOT on the strip - but they have a shuttle bus that takes you there. It is at the southern-most portion of the strip - near some good areas to see.

I also heard - while there - that is is known for the best 'payout' with its' slot machines.

If you are concerned about the hotels - and their 'quality', you may want to read reviews of folks online. I did - and they helped me to eliminate several of the hotels right there on the strip. They got bad reviews... don't remember which ones - but I didn't stay at them.

    Regards,

    Jim TX

The Gold Coast also has a killer buffet. Resonably priced too.

As far as "cheap rooms" go. We just stayed at the MGM Grand for $79.00/night. We booked them in May, and the prices continued to drop. They have 3500 rooms there. It's the hotel with the most rooms in all the world. It's a great place. Lots to do and see.

Okay I can not copy and paste the email the TA sent me.

    This is what it says:

We need a minimum of 20 people. They do not do hotel/air combo. They need arrival and depature date. Exact number or rooms. Name of Group or Company ( this part will be fun). Top 4 hotel choices.

August 9-12 (Thurs-Sun) Is good for me.. anyone else?

Hotels- Belliago, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Paris.

MGM is big, they do have the most rooms. I stayed there when I went. And loved it. Plus it a 4 and a half star hotel. Con - it at the end of the strip. And so is Mandalay Bay (but it's beautiful!).

    My two cents.
