briefly was party to conversation between elder and MS in our cong. Our PO (MTS graduate) has been made stand-in CO at a recent school because... 15 'older' CO's have been stood down as it were seems to fit with other posts....
Circuit Overseer headcount in UK
I can't make out what you are saying. Could you run that by me again?
Does it mean 15 Circuit Overseers (rather old men) are fired in UK??
to clarify - 15 older CO's have been made 'redundant', and a batch of new younger ones appointed
15 older CO's have been made 'redundant', and a batch of new younger ones appointed
Maybe the older CO's were getting impatient for the new system, while the younger ones can wait another 30 or 40 years !!!
I haven't heard of this, but it wouldn't surprise me.
How typical of the wts to take the best years of a person's life, then cast them aside when they are old and tired.
Where are these old guys and their wives now? Indigent and on the dole?
Do you have any more information? The sketchy details make this a bit like an urban legend type of thing.
- Why would they 'stand down' so many at the same time whilst scratching around for men to fill in? It wouldn't seem logical (but then, what's new with the WTS. eh?)
- Were they removed en bloc?
- Was it the result of some "judicial" matter?
its odd, but i know a brother who was just made a C.O last week.
I think an elder from my old cong has been made a co as well
