I had high speed cable internet for $53 a month with Videotron and I just dropped it to their lowest cable speed for $29 a month.

Now I can buy an extra case of beer a month

Mine works out at £15.99 a month with AOL.

I paid 12 months advance and that was for a wired broadband modem connection - now they're selling wireless for £14.99 a month

I'm switching to a more expensive local supplier in October - but at least I know I'll get to speak to someone who speaks English if I need tech support!

I pay too much. I have broadband through Cox Cable and I have DSL through Yahoo AT&T. It seemed like the broadband would run slower on certain days or have more connection problems on certain day i.e. holidays, weekends, just after school, etc. I got tired of not being able to get connected, so I got DSL. My computer is on the DSL, which runs slower than the broadband, but has less connection problems. My daughter doesn't like DSL because she says it isn't as fast as broadband. We have four computers in the house. People around here don't like to share their computers.

It's one luxury that I can afford for the moment. If I don't manage to get back to work, we're going to have to do some belt tightening around here.

I get 12 months free broadband because I signed up to a mobile phone contract with Orange (Contract costs me £30 a month which is less than I was paying before for my mobile fone).

BUT - theres only one site I cant get onto and thats my banking site. Neither Orange nor Virgin technical support can solve the problem, nor can my partner who is I.T. support for the nuclear power stations in the UK.

So I have to unplug broadband and do dial up to get onto my bank website. It only started being a problem since we got broadband, and we took all the security off my computer to make sure it wasnt that filtering out the site. I can get onto ANY other secure and banking site except the one my mortgage, current account and saving are in!!

We pay £27.99 a month, which includes our phone and cable tv, on NTL.

I pay $39.99 + tons of taxes for blazing fast internet: 15 Mbps downstream/2 Mbps upstream. We have two PC's with a router so we only needed the one connection.

I guess I'm one of the minority on this board who still uses regular dialup. The fastest connection I've ever been able to have with it was around 45 Kbps. I paid $95 CAD (taxes included) for 6 months.
