Pets are definitely family - often more so than human family members. They offer the closest thing to unconditional love that I've ever experienced. They don't care if you're fat, ugly, or smell bad - they love you anyway.
I hope your dog gets better.

I'm at work and the only pic I have here is a silly one when he had to where one of those cones to keep him from biting an itchy spot he had on his hind quarter....I called him Cone Head the Barbarian. :-) -

Oh Alana....so sorry you poochie is sick. Ive lost so many over the years. I hope he isnt suffering too much.

My heart goes out to you. I have had two beloved pets (dogs) die in 12 years and it was like my child had past away. It is not easy. I didn't want any more dogs after that BUT I gave in and took two more into my home. Taking another pet after a month or two of mourning, helped me over the over whelming sadness I felt.
