    Hi foreverjw welcome to JWD,

ask yourself if you want true unconditonal love

Think about what this really means, ever watch tv talk shows and parents talk about loving there kids. The parents hate the things their kids are doing, but they are there for them and continue to love them no matter what.

Now think about the WT and their shunning policy, I'm sorry but that is conditional love, if you don't meet the WT's conditions you will not be loved.

I remember talks that told bros and sis to seek out the friendship of those who were strong spiritually

to build yourself up. This used to piss me off because it basicly means elders MS pioneer good friends,

publishers ok friends on sliding scale according to field service hours, irregular and inactive BAD FRIENDS.

Great encouragement to start even more clicks in the cong.

Moomanchu: According to Paul and Peter, anyone who doesn't meet God's conditions, will be destroyed ( 2 Thess 1:7-9; Acts 3:23 ). This NT portrayal of God makes 'him' the ultimate 'shunner', and the ultimate withholder of unconditional love.

    I agree with Foreverjw

The love among JW's is unconditional, I can tell you that from my own personal experience.

Those that are DF'd are not shunned in the sense that a lot of you mention. I know brothers and sisters that were DF'd and returned back to Jehovah. They told me that A) Their families did not shun or ignore them and B) Every few months or so they would be visited by a couple of elders

Jehovah is also a God of love and his love is unconditional. He welcomes all people, no matter how bad they have been in the past, into his loving organisation. If his love was conditional he would have destoried mankind has soon has Adam and Eve sinned. But he has given us over 6000 years to get to know him. He sent his son Jesus has a sacrafice for all mankinds sins....How can you say Jehovah's love is conditional? Do you think Jehovah enjoyed watching the pain and agony that his son, his first of creation, was going through? Sending his son was a real act of unconditional love.

Paduan thats just dishonest. You know his position yet you misrepresent him. Shame on you.

I do not know his position; he may state what he may, yet his threads always begin with, "If you are a Jehovahs Witness.....

I disagree, A Paduan. It seems to me that Scout feels driven to warn some who might run from one high control group to another.
Like a christian group that is higher control than jwism ? a bit rare isn't it ?

A question for Foreverjw and Jeho-so-fat, How loving will your cong, elders and families be when they find out you are on this board? I suggest you let them know and find out just how 'unconditional' their love really is.

I came here thinking it was a forum for JW's...Look at the name of this forum and you will see why I though that.

I did a lot worse things in my life than coming to this forum...and the elders, the congregation etc, still encouraged me, supported me and showed great love and concern towards me. If you read what I wrote, you would have seen these words:

"The love among JW's is unconditional, I can tell you that from my own personal experience."

I did some really bad things when I was still claiming to be a JW, I eventually left The Truth. But even when I was out of the Truth and going round saying nasty things about JW's and just being an out an out nasty bloke, Witnesses that I knew would still come up to me and encourage me. A few things made me realise that....with all their imperfections and mistakes that have been made over the past the WTS really is The Truth, and I spoke to a couple of Elders...they did not shun me or refuse to talk to me, they showerd compassion and concern and unconditional love.

Anyway, after looking at the posts in this forum, I can see that the majority here have become apostates, have twisted the facts and lied about the WTS. I have evebn read that some of you are DF'd. I cannot 'socialise' with the likes of that. Yes, we has JW's shun apostates and those that hate Jehovah and Yes, we shun anything that can harm our spirituality.

People here base their hated towards the whole of the WTS on the actions of imperfect man. Jehovah has always used imperfect man to look after his people and his earthly organisation and has they are imperfect they make mistakes or they even do something that is not right in the eyes of Jehovah. There are many examples in the Bible and also in modern days. But it is The Truth.

So now I have said that...I will say goodbye.

I'm sooooo really feeling that unconditional love right now

If you're still lurking jeho, re-read what you posted. Is Jehovah's love only extended to those within his 'organisation'? If you had the love of the congregation extended to you when you strayed from the org, should you not be following Jesus' command to "Go and do likewise"? Check out the parable of the unforgiving debtor.

BTW, you should be ok to talk to me as I've never been a JW - I'm still sitting on the fence. What can you say to convince me that you're right and all the 'apostates' are wrong?

God has always used imperfect humans, so you might as well cut some slack for the much demonised catholics and other mainstream christian religions, I don't think the JW leaders are any different to them.

I know I shouldn't say it and it may be bad form (slap my wrist now) but Jeho you're a wimp.
