I didn't write a DA letter. My letter explained that I had some issues that needed sorted out. The Elders gave me a shepherding call. Answers was not provided, which prompted a second letter. This letter restated my issues and that I didn't wish to DA myself, but I did need time to sort out the issues. 6 years later, I have yet to hear from them. I know I am not disassociated, because several from the congregation have spoken to me at the grocery store when I do my shopping. I would think they wouldn't do that if told not to.
