Did anyone mention Johnny Lee Hooker? A great blues guitarist. Greatest rock guitarists were Randy Rhoads and Hendrix. Greatest guitar song-"Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple. It gives me chills.

Greatest solo of all time . . Claptons solo on "Crossroads". I'm a pretty good geetar player but I have worked on that for almost a year and am just getting close.
Greatest performance of the modern era . . Jimi H doing the "Star Spangled Banner" at Woodstock. ~That~ is the cultural touchstone of an entire generation.
Second greatest . . Hendrix at Monterey
And finally, for your enjoyment . . Shred Accordian . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVbuIZ-5-8o
