I was 16. One of the elders aproached me and asked if the time was not up for me - despite my father being an elder...

This very elder turned out to be an asshole.

16 scared to death - didn't want to do it, but wanted to make my mother proud. I clearly remember sitting down in front looking at the speaker and thinking - "what a load of Sh*T - OMG i hope I didn't say that out loud!"

I think maybe 15 or 16. Not quite sure.

I didn't say the baptismal vows on purpose.

Nine years old. They made me wait until then... although I'd been asking each year, for 4 years. I was a true believer, you see!

I was 14. I did so because I remember in the meetings they were saying that "Jehovah doesn't really listen to your prayers if you are not baptized" Then all the pressure from the baptism talks. I remember thinking how easy it was to get baptized when it should have been more involved then just remembering the answers for the questions i would be asked in 30 minutes. I agree that they should not let anyone do so untill they are mature enough to really know what they are really doing.

I was 10. 7/21/67. Was it not later than I thought, you think?
