I had a friend from Germany who came over a few years ago, and in his pack was a David Hasselhoff CD. I nearly died laughing, as I thought that was always a joke people said and it was not a real, urban legend at best. He said they did like him over there, but when I spoke to him about a year ago, he mentioned that no one really liked him anymore. I think he said this, to get me to stop teasing him.
