I was only considered "disfellowshipped" before I started my journey on the path of discovering the deception, corruption and lethal policies of the org. Once that was known, I was the classified as "very apostate". The rules changed dramatically, in my case.
Apostacy, according to the WTBTS Leaders, means simply that you are trying to turn others away from what they call The Truth, with what they label "lies by apostates".
