God gave over the house to the Son as an inheritance and he is the new master of the house so we should give him a more central position in the grand scheme of things.

Having said that we shouldn't become too dependant on God and prayers but also do a lot on our own initiative.

This joke about sums it up.....

In Jerusalem, a female CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Wailing Wall to pray, twice a day, everyday, for a long, long time. So she went to check it out. She went to the wailing Wall and there he was!

She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, she approached him for an interview.

"I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN. Sir, how long have you been coming to the Wall and praying?"

    "For about 60 years."

"60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?"

"I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims. I pray for all the hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to grow up in safety and friendship."

"How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"

"Like I'm talking to a fuckin' wall ”

I still call for Jehovah if I'm scared alone in the dark.

I have started thinking that I have to look after myself. Any thoughts?

God "helps" those who "help themselves."

    Notice a theme?

I have called out to Jah a few times. He never answered.

At times I will call out to the supreme being, the creator of the universe and all that is in it.

Not sure if (he it her) answered but a couple of times it seemed to work.

I also have called out to the universal consciousness might have worked once or twice.

I have also called out to my subconscious mind and it seems it works most of the time.

I haven't tried satan yet, he scares me.

I was at a watchtower study once and they were discussing when the rest of Israel went up against the Benjamites and for the first two attacks the rest of Israel suffered massive losses. But everything was just as Jehovah willed it to be. You see he was testing Israel - by allowing the Benjamites to slaughter the Israelites he could test them. What a loving Father Jehovah is.

I had a strange experience once. I don't think I've posted it here before. Not sure I want to.

    Hi Fairmind

I've come to the conclusion that Jesus Father - Our Father who are't in heaven - is not Yahweh/Jehovah. We have to remember that the bible is not inspired of God, but a manmade and man-altered document. I do believe Jesus actual words in many places shine through and have survived the adulteration. Teachings such as love thy enemies, do not sin anymore, forgive them for they know not what they do.

    We do not need Jehovah.

I know single 40 yo sisters still persistently praying for a husband, why didn't God help them?

    Hi JW Facts

The Yahweh God will not help them because he is a figment of a demented male bigot's imagination who loves virgin sacrifice - see for instance the sacrifice of Jephthah's daughter in Judges xi (links below) and a history of human sacrifice by the Israelites (being an Israelite was no protection either, especially for virgin women). A JW elder actually told me that it's best not to have any children because we are in the time of the end. The hypocrisy was mind boggling since he was married with children of his own.

In regards to the Aboriginal congregations, just as many Aboriginal people are sort of hidden amongst the wider society, so too there are vast numbers of both witnesses and associates who are in the grip of fear of this Jehovah cult. They are kept separate in a segregated Aboriginal congregation just as in the South of the United States segregation in the WT world survived well into the civil rights era.

This beastly figment of the imagination Yahweh accepted virgin sacrifices just like any other pagan god
