Gumbers said: I'll bet there's a law somewhere that says theocratic pornia is ok too.

There is. It's called a Judicial Committee where they ask all kinds of bizarre questions like:

did you enjoy it (uh, no asshole, it was the worst thing I ever did)

How many times did you do it (I dunno. Lost count after 10 times)

Did you have an orgasm? (of course not!)

Wanna show us exactly what you did? (Uh, no not really)

Of course, this is all done under the guise of "keeping the congregation clean" but I think the majority of the elders sitting in on the JC get off on hearing all the little details and then making a trip to the bathroom.

Mary.....this sounds a bit strange.....but a fellow elder related to me onetime when he and two other brothers had to quiz a hot sister about fornication. He said as she told what she did.....they all had boners. He laughed when he told me. I was a young elder when he told me that and it hit me hard that elders would actually get excited when dealing with such serious thing. I never forgot that as a dub.

If a JW tells a lie under Theocratic War Stategy, The Watchtower will NOT back them up if they are found out. The individual will have to take the consequences of telling a lie.

The reason why The Watchtower says it is a personal decision made by the individual to tell a lie under cetain circumstances is to protect them from legal liability.

JWs found committing perjury in a court of law are on their own.

And most JWs remain blissfully unaware of the backroom mind-rape that young women in particular are subjected to in every Kingdom Hall in every country on the planet. This is something we should be including in press releases and handouts for when the dubs call by. There are some very sicko elders out there.

As a father of two wonderful girls I am horrified beyond belief that this goes on. Finding out was one of the reasons I was desperate to get my family out. What kind of religion breeds parents who offer their children up to be abused by strangers? No way would I let my girls be left alone in a Judicial Committee and if anyone had so much as looked the wrong way at 'em!!! lol.

Gumbers, I'd be reeeal interested to know what happened to this 'hot sister'. Did they DF her for her evil sin while they're all sitting there with hard ons? Or were they kind and just publically humiliate reprove her? What total PIGS!!!

Yes VM44, again the society™ plays it both ways to distance themselves from monetary loss.

The watchtower™ booklet Preparing for Child Custody Cases™ emphasises™ that the JW lifestyle™ is beneficial™ to the child. Near the begining it says "there is no need to hide or distort your religious beliefs". However, the actual tactics suggested in PCCC™ are contrary. The children and their JW parent are encouraged™ to deceive the court by telling lies and presenting a fake lifestyle, fake ambitions and fake goals. The Society™ here actually encourages™ perjury:

The Court is fed: "Many try to portray the beliefs and practices of JWs™ as dogmatic and restrictive… emphasise™ the fact that you have formed your beliefs and adopted your practices after much study™ and reflection™; your religion is not simply a matter of rules imposed by the elders™. You want to emphasize™ the fact that you are a thinking…individual™. PCCC p. 3.™

    JW's are fed: "Avoid Independent Thinking™ ... questioning the counsel™ provided™ by God’s visible organization™." WT 1983 January 15 p. 22.™

The Court is fed: "Be careful™ they [the children] don't get the impression that they are in a demonstration™ at the circuit assembly™, when they would show that the first things in life™ are servic™e and going to the Kingdom Hall™… Be careful they don’t all say that they are going to be pioneers.™" PCCC p. 43.™

The Court is fed: "Plans can be trade, getting married and having children, journalism, and all kinds of other things." PCCC p. 42™

JW's are fed:"Should they marry now? No, is the answer supported by the Scriptures™. There is no reasonable™ injunction to bring children into the world™ before Armageddon™ where we are now." WT 1938 November 1 pp. 323-324.™

JW's are fed: "Many schools now have student counselors who encourage™ one to pursue™ higher education after highschool, to pursue a career with a future in this system of things™. Do not be influenced by them. Do not let them ‘brainwash’ you with the Devil’s propaganda™ to get ahead, to make something of yourself in this world™. This world has very little time left! ... Make pioneer service™, the full-time ministry™, with the possibility of Bethel™ or missionary service™ your goal.™" WT 1969 March 15 p. 171.™

The Court is fed: "In the past many have feared or distrusted mental care professionals (Psychologists and psychiatrists). There is no basis or need for such preconceived fear or distrust." PCCC p. 53.™

JW's are fed:"…as a rule, for a Christian™ to go to a worldly™ psychiatrist is an admission of defeat. It amounts to ‘going down to Egypt for help.’ - Isaiah 31:1… Also, more and more psychiatrists are resorting to hypnosis which is a demonic™ form of worldly wisdom.™" Awake! 1960 March 8 p. 27.™

The Court is fed:"Show that you are a loving and caring parent who wants the best medical care possible for your child… You do not want to give the impression that your religion requires you to allow your child to die should a medical emergency arise." PCCC pp. 5, 55.™

JW's are fed: "If she died [because of refusal to allow blood transfusion]™ she would have a chance for the new earth™. Stated bluntly, better to die now maintaining integrity.™" Awake! 1951 May 22 p. 5.™

and so on ad in finitum..

The Society encourages™ JWs to lie and deceive. It's ironic that the Society has also repeatedly lied to and deceived them as well. The Watchtower Bible and Trap Society™ has practiced "theocratic war strategy™" on the JWs themselves.

    BINGO!

More often than not, when a JW realizes this is precisely what has been going on during his/her career™ as a JW, the scales immediately come off their eyes.

Unclebruce, excellent post! I think your quotes from the Child Custody brochure and the quotes from the Society's literature (which demonstrates what a bunch of pathetic liars they are), should be given to the lawyers for those who want to keep their children from being raised in this cult.

I couldn't agree more Mary. This is a dangerous nasty cult run through and through by misogynist creeps who haven't a clue about forming loving relationships, let alone proper child raising. Excuse me if I sound like I'm about to blow a gasket lol .. this issue™ has hit close to home recently, unc™. I must go away and work on™ my over use of the ™ .. it's bloody bad habit™
