Britain is made up of 4 different countries, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Each of those countries has its own national heritage and culture and each countries inhabitants identify with their their country of origin. The term British is an artificial one used to describe an inhabitant of "Great Britain" and there are a lot of Scotsmen, Welshmen and Irish men that resent the fact that their countries have been swallowed up by the English government to become "Great Britain"

Back to the haggis comment, haggis is a Scottish dish and its one the Scots are proud of.

Not only is Haggis ours, so is Tweed (though the English like it and have adopted it).

The only place legally allowed to make it and brand it as such, is my own island.
