I think it's a real shame that these kids have obviously been so brainwashed by the org, that they were unable to concentrate on spelling and vocabulary lessons.

I'm shocked. And all these years I thought the Awake! magazine gave me the equivilent of a college education.

    Oh MY God!

I went to that site and discovered a relative of mine was posting. The shame, the shame, the shame. I do take some comfort that it was one of the more articulate, moderate posts.

Granted, the bar for that is set pretty low.

Do they have the doctrine of Christ? They assume that they do from the way they speak yet they are barely a christian organisation but instead a judaism oriented cult and virtually all its members believe themselves to be outside the new covenent and refuse to participate in the bread and wine ritual.

Looks like the "Apostates" are celebrating New Years shame, shame - and possibly no escort for the date

    An Update---Also.

Got back from London last weekend and asked the Spanish girl out on a date using as much broken Spanish as I could muster. She said "si" and we went out on Wednesday. It was a nice date. I brought her flowers, we went out to dinner, took a quick walk on the boardwalk and then I took her home. It was totally a pretty awkward night due to the language barrier. She does NOT speak a single word of English and I speak about 50 words of Spanish. I did not even try to kiss her before I left because I was feeling like she did not have a good time and eveything was awkward. I actually had a dream that night that mirrored the date and the awkwardness, but in the dream I kept trying and trying to surpass the challenge of the language barrier. The next day I stopped by her house to give her a lift to work because she walks to work and it was raining. I think that simple act pushed the attraction beyond the awkwardness for both of us. Since then I have beenn receiving nothing but ultra-positive signals from her. I have written her notes that I translate on the web at an English/Spanish translation site and gotten very positive responces. Last night I even got a dance and a picture of us together at a New Years Eve party.

I have been working very hard to learn as much Spanish as I can very quickly. She is worth it. She is very sweet, tender and quiet. Qualities that I am looking for.

Any suggestions on learning spanish quickly would be very much appreciated.
