Sitting here reading these comments makes me ill, physically ill. You are talking about someone's son, husband, father. You may not like the man and that is certainly your right but to laugh and joke aboubt his death and even wish it in some cases is disgusting.

I have met the man personally and met his wife, daughters and parents too. He is a decent loving person regardless of his politics and many of you wish his familiy the pain of losing someone they care about.

I am openly a republican...but while I didn't like Pres. Clinton...I NEVER wished him dead...just out of office. I didn't vote for Clinton during his terms but he was still the President. You may not like George W. but he is still the President. I don't agree with every decision that any leader makes but they are the ones in the position to make the decisions.

Past Presidents, Democrat and Republican make decisions...good and bad...and I don't think any of them sat around thinking how they can screw the American people the most or cause the most damage to the country.

Perhaps you should step up and run for office and make the decisions if you feel so able to do a better job.

It is easy to criticize and whine and shake your fist at the system but not so easy to put your life and and reputation on the line and do the job yourself. I am a former two term elected official and can testify that its not so freakin easy. 1 month into my first term I was picketted and people wanted me tossed out of office but as time passed they learned the whole story about the situation and most apologized for their anger and for not trusting that I was making decisions based on information that they may not have and doing my best to serve the people.

Would I be sad ? ...Yes. For the country and on a personal level. Will I wish death on the next Democratic President when we have one just because I don't like or agree with them...No and I will continue to fail to understand those who can think such things.

I was the deciding vote AGAINST a large (several million dollar) federally funded housing project. Most felt that even if the project sucked we should just take the money and build a shoddy non cost effective project. They picketted, waved signs, signed petitions, etc to have me removed because I voted to refuse the funding and pass it on to a better project. When the smoke cleared several years later and the details of the project became public they saw that it would have been throwing hard earned tax dollars into a hole and actually would have hurt the very same people it claimed to be designed to help.

I made decisions based on the knowledge I had at the time on any given topic or situation and tried to always think of the people...not just the Republicans...all the people. My decisions were certainly not always popular but people knew that I was doing what I thought was best and that was why I had been elected.

In 1963 if you were democrat or republican, as an american or other person you would have been saddened by JFKs death. I hope most epople would be saddened if Sharon or George Bush died - it is not nice to gloat and wish somebody dead

Certainly not. He is responsible for the death of thousands of innocent people whole families. Death is too good for people like this. He should live till 100 and made to feel the pain of those he massacred. I assume you feel this about Harry S. Truman who dropped the atomic bombs on Japan?

No, I wouldn't be sad, I'd be disappointed. I just know if president Bush died, liberals would cream in their pants. Hence, that's why he exercizes every day.

I do not wish death upon him. Who else is going to clear brush at his Crawford Ranch?

Nope. In fact, I would make it my own personal holiday from then on out and request congress (or whoever is in charge of such things) to make it a national holiday. I take that back, I wouldn't request it to be made a national holiday lest they misunderstand and think I actually liked the guy.
