Sitting here reading these comments makes me ill, physically ill. You are talking about someone's son, husband, father. You may not like the man and that is certainly your right but to laugh and joke aboubt his death and even wish it in some cases is disgusting.
I have met the man personally and met his wife, daughters and parents too. He is a decent loving person regardless of his politics and many of you wish his familiy the pain of losing someone they care about.
I am openly a republican...but while I didn't like Pres. Clinton...I NEVER wished him dead...just out of office. I didn't vote for Clinton during his terms but he was still the President. You may not like George W. but he is still the President. I don't agree with every decision that any leader makes but they are the ones in the position to make the decisions.
Past Presidents, Democrat and Republican make decisions...good and bad...and I don't think any of them sat around thinking how they can screw the American people the most or cause the most damage to the country.
Perhaps you should step up and run for office and make the decisions if you feel so able to do a better job.
It is easy to criticize and whine and shake your fist at the system but not so easy to put your life and and reputation on the line and do the job yourself. I am a former two term elected official and can testify that its not so freakin easy. 1 month into my first term I was picketted and people wanted me tossed out of office but as time passed they learned the whole story about the situation and most apologized for their anger and for not trusting that I was making decisions based on information that they may not have and doing my best to serve the people.
Would I be sad ? ...Yes. For the country and on a personal level. Will I wish death on the next Democratic President when we have one just because I don't like or agree with them...No and I will continue to fail to understand those who can think such things.
