Off today? I wish! It was the last day to post money for the month, quarter and year! I worked from 7am to 6:30pm straight. But I did talk the boss into buying pizza for my team since most of us worked right through lunch.
Don't have to go back until Tuesday and that is only a half day.

On "Old Year" we (the Dutch) normally are at work - but (again normally) the last 1 or 2 hours we're send home to prepare for the evening...
New Years day is always a free day (there's no newspaper or postdelivery either)
