Heard that on the news a little while ago.

    Very sad indeed.

I am a rabid Colts fan - and this is not good for the team - but of course the real life issue to the Dungy's is of more import. How sad for them today.

Must be the most difficult thing in the world to lose a child.

CNN, Larry King Live w/Joan Rivers tonight.....

They just said his death is an apparent suicide.

Right now his family are all blaming themselves and each other. I hope they will end up being a comfort. I cannot even imagine.

As I am a huge football fan, this is so sad! Of course, it would be for anyone's family.

Go Colts you are giving us a great year. On to the Super Bowl.

This is very sad. I met the Dungy family 10 years ago when I first moved to Minnesota. My (now) ex-wife was friends with the wife of one of Vikings coaches when we lived in the same apartment complex. At that time Tony Dungy was also on the Vikings staff and they lived in the same suburb. My ex also used to swim at the same club as Lauren Dungy and talked to her frequently. I met the Dungy family at a barbeque and though I met Tony only once I thought he was a really nice and humble guy. I've been a fan of his ever since.

The news this evening is suggesting that his son committed suidcide. That must be very painful for someone who worked so hard to be a good parent. The coach I knew through my ex-wife was Ray Sherman (now at the Titans). His son died a couple of years ago. The official verdict was also suicide although Ray and Yvette firmly believe it was an accident. I am deeply saddened by this news, my heart goes out to the Dungy family.
