Self-Abuse to become DF offense

  The Elders School Notes indicated that if a young man often used magazines or other indecent materials in his solitary vice, he has acted with greediness and should be DF.

  This means that there are two avenues to explore:

  1: Was the self abuser absent mindedly manipulating himself whilst doing homework. If he is repentant then no greediness was involved.

  2: Where there was an element of self gratification, was pornographic material used regularly. If so it was "with greediness" - DF

  In the case of 2, where no pornographic material was used it is necessary for loving elders to probe deeper. What was the nature of any fantasies used to enhance the act? Were they pornographic or debased in nature? By skilful yet gentle probing the one questioned may be persuaded to describe in graphic detail ( at least as graphic as the WT) what sex acts or positions were involved in his imagination. If the mental images are pornogarphic, it was with greediness -DF.

  3: In the event that the subject confesses to homosexual fantasies, then the elders must determine what type and degree of penetration was dwelt upon, and in which bodily orifice. If the self abuse frequently accompnied such depraved thoughts it is with greediness -DF

  In this situation the Elders must be vigilant to protect the cleanness of the congregation. Even after reinstatement they must be alert to see that such spiritually scarred individuals never spend time alone with another member of the same sex. If this should occur overnight then DF. (See "Shepherding the Flock")

  Elders should have a list of approved older sisters to stand in for ministerial roles whilst there are no brothers qualified so to serve as a result of being under disciplinary restrictions.

  As I've said before, any hope of reform in the organization is over. It may rot, but it can never change.

  They are becoming more fanatical - which I define as increased zeal in the face of more and facts that prove them wrong.

  This latest "ruling" borders on child abuse. Masturbation exists for simple natural reasons, to provide safe sexual release

  and anything else is cruel.

  Seriously though, if this is accurate, then you're going to see a whole lot of DFings in the future. That is, though, if any JWs are dumb enough to confess in the first place.

  When I first discovered the joy and misery(per WTS standards) of this vice, I couldn't stop. And I didn't dare tell my JW parents or the elders. This subject was constantly harped on while I was growing up. Everytime I succombed to it, I vowed to not do it again. I would pray, but think my prayers weren't being listened to since I had not confessed to the elders. I knew if I went to the elders there would be all kinds of embarrasement and then harrasement. I felt so guilty, not so much for doing it, but for not admitting it or confessing it. Even when they recommended me for MS my first time and the elders asked if there was anything that would hold be from accepting the position, that was the first thing that came to mind...but I didn't dare say anything because I would have to drag all that up. So, I lied, accepted the position and kept my sin secret.

  Scenerio 1: It may be that the WTS has figured out that leaving masturbation as a 'non-DFing' offense, most brothers(and sisters too, I guess) are not fessing up and admitting this problem. Maybe they reason that if they make it a bigger deal, more people will feel guilty and come running for help, thus giving the elders more control over them. This way they can weed out the real "perverts" who may be influencing the congregation in a bad way.

  Scenerio 2: Hopefully, they're not this stupid, but...maybe the WTS has decided that masturbation really does lead to homosexuality, or, even worse, pedophelia(sp). Maybe this is their way of trying to nip it in the bud...by making masturbation the culprit and thus stifling all sexual drive from out of the younger, single members. Actually this action will create sexual repression which can cause nothing but harm. I am of the belief that repressing people too much helps cause some of them to become predators later. If this is true, then the WTS is just creating a bigger oppurtunity for more child abuse scandals in their midst by further repressing their members.
