Why is it that "sisters" can have facial hair and it's acceptable?
My guess is that it helps them remain chaste, but it might be a good idea to submit the question to the society. Maybe they'll print it in a "questions from readers".
There were quite a few hot looking sisters™ in my halls, and most were single because most of the brothers™ were too spiritually ambitious dorky. Meetings were tough on me, thinking about all those hot bodies just wasting away...

Lol! My stepmom got a talking to about her cleavage. I thought they were being to invasive since she always looks nice. So what if she sublty flaunts her assets. I never seemed to care in the summer time and did the same.
When I lived in Texas, I attended a very ethnically diverse cong in the city. There were some very fine looking brothers with beautiful brown eyes and intriguing accents, and I crushed on a few of them.
Then I moved back to Maine. I'm sorry, I hate like hell to criticize my own peeps, but we just are not such an attractive bunch. We tend toward fishbelly-white skin and a general chubbiness (myself included.) The men of Maine have an inordinate fondness for facial hair, so many of the brothers sport big, shaggy, 70's porn star moustaches. The only truly hot guy in my congregation was a blood relative of mine who married my best pal, so he was not even close to being an option. Eventually I was forced to import a hottie from another state, as there were no suitable men, witness or non-witness, to choose from up here.
In my cong there was a gorgeous guy who studied for quite a while and then got baptised before getting engaged to a sister that he liked. She ended up breaking the engagement and marrying another guy. Anyways, he was really nice as well and he and I started hanging out (in groups,, ugh) going to movies, concerts, etc. She eventually came into my work and chewed me out for seeing him. She had dumped him and broken off the engagement before we even started hanging out. What a drama queen. I told her it sounded like a personal problem if she wasn't over her breakup. He was so handsome though. He eventually became inactive and faded away and I was still a jdub. I wouldn't mind running into him now and talking about old times as he was a really good friend.

There was one or two which I remember vaguely....but predominantly they were either watched over like a hawk by their elder father who permanently had this 'dont you dare look at my daughter' look on his face, or they were too far up their own arses.
It was scary...you would chat to one or two of them and instantly, (if you werent blown out because they were too far up their own backsides to speak to anyone other than regular pioneers), you had elder father breathing down your neck asking how many hours you had done in the ministry....life was tough back then.
