My first Christmas tree was a tiny little 4" cheesy thing that I put on the kitchen table. Easy to hide... the next year, I had a beautiful 5' tree with all the trimmings. When it was all lit up, I cried and my hubby (never a JW) thought I'd gone nuts.
It still makes me misty eyed every time I put up a tree and hit the lights. The freedom to have my own views on life without fear of 'exposure' is marvelous.
