Thanks Hemp...as usual a wonderful party! Myself, Mr. Eyebrow and Eyebrow Jr had a wonderful time. (No eye rolls or "is it time to go home yet" from Jr...and he admited he had a great time too!)
Arrowstar: thanks for saving my butt and being around to give me the address haaha....
We had a great time. Thanks Hemp!
Thank you!!! It was such a nice place to visit with everyone.
Your home was very peaceful and relaxing. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Now, I have a face with some of the names. I am sure I talked too much. Sorry about that, I was excited.
Thanks again!
What a beautiful bunch of apostates! The brand spankin' () new apostababes were great to meet...
The food was amazing... Sparky had a caterer friend of hers bring some beef brisket, which, quite frankly, was perfect. And of course the carrots and the spinach were equally good. Hemp's house as always was an absolute pleasure to party in, and FOSHLL in her usual style kept us all spellbound and entertained with her guitar and singing.
All in all, a great little fest which it seemed everyone absolutely enjoyed.
And while I am here, I may as well throw in my report of the diabetes walk yesterday, so here it is:
Well, the walk was awesome!
The day started meeting up with Sparky and her family... what a beautiful bunch! I will probably mess up the names but I'll do what I can. Her oldest, commonly referred to as Aloe it seems, was an awesome big brother and all around nice guy to his sisters. Then there was Sage, a great young lady that kept us all motivated and laughing through the 3 (200?) mile walk. And last, but certainly not least, was Emma. What a beautiful little girl! I think I made a friend, as she kept running to me and wanting to hold my hand for the walk.
Sparky got up with a couple of the kids and did some exercise to warm up, we listened to the Star Spangled banner, then off for the walk! The first mile was fine.... the second was so-so... but the third dragged on forever! Poor Emma was exhausted by that time and needed a little encouragement, which came in the form of bystanders cheering her on. Of course, Sparky and I were still going strong... <ahem>
We reached the finish line and got a picture or two to prove we made it... then to eat. As Sparky put it, "a simple turkey sandwich never tasted so good". We all sat on a hill under the shade of a tree, eating our sandwiches and chips and having a drink. Had some great photo ops for the kids, and I think I was snapped taking a lie-down.
In all, the walk was absolutely exhausting (considering I hadn't really slept too much last night), but the company made it more than worthwhile. It was an absolute pleasure walking with Sparky and the family.
I only managed to blog one pic before my phone ran down, but it is there! http://fmz.textamerica.com
More will be on their way tonight.
FMZ
Sparkplug...your buddies food was the bomb....I got her email address...will definately be calling her when my mother in law comes down hahah.
FMZ: My son said you were really cool. Just thought you should know.
The Rabbits had a great time -- again.
HempLover is a fantastic host as always. Her daughter Foshll entertained everyone with her beautiful voice and guitar playing. She has a really calm & collected spirit -- just like her Mom.
I got to meet (again) several of the local loyal crew that usually come and had some good conversations to catch-up on their lives. And a few newcomers like Horrible Life (what a moniker for such an up-beat, warm gal) who...by her warm, level headed posts here gave no surprises -- she was just like I expected. And PennyCandy, too. We had a good talk while 'feeding our faces' with all the great food* we had. There is such a common background, so much all of us have been thru, it's good to see we're not alone in this.
Kervin and his wife made the smoked brisket, the spinach (I think)(and it was the best spinach I've ever had ) & possibly the mashed potatoes - made like 'twice baked potatoes'...Mmmmmm, good.
In the "It's a small world after all..." catagory..JDinFWTX...dang ! We started talking and found out that between us, there were 40 - 50 people we both knew in common. She and I had gone to the same KH's at different times...I've been out a lot longer, so, it was interesting to learn about numerous JW's that I had known that had come to their senses and 'got out'. As well, of course, the ones who were still 'stuck in the mire', some even more than when I knew them.
And of course, seeing FMZ again was great, too. (Even if he did come all the way from England )
For anyone who hasn't been to an apostafest, ya' really gotta go. It's fun and ya' get to really see for yourself 'where XJW's go...'. I used to always wonder as a JW, because they just *poof* - disappeared, the rumors were always bad...they were now Satan worshippers, etc.
Now I know...they just have gone on with their lives -- just happy this time.

We had a blast, Thank you!
Meeting all tyhe New people was really a pleasure.
Here are some highlights from FMZ walking! Great Job FMZ!
This is FMZ doing the Warm UP's...lol
Ahh...The whole gang! And look FMZ did walk. With the help of my youngest making him go the extreme off route. She made him stop for every flower and crack in the sidewalk or street!!
And I still can't believe that after calling the Dallas fest from the Portland fest, and ending up talking with Valis, that the first thing outta his mouth was "F-tard!". THEN he had to go and hog the phone talking with LowKey!
Sorry our electronic hookup wasn't more successful! I tried. Really I did.
Glad ya'll had a good time. We did too!
