New OM Book replacement & Upcoming Elder School

The Organized to Accomplish Our Ministry (OM book) will be replaced on Sunday March 20, 2005 with a book titled Organized to Do Jehovah's Will. This is confidential, so be sure to tell your relatives and friends that are still in! Will there be any updates to the Org's procedures, or just a re-hash of old policies? Any thoughts on why the Org is replacing the OM book, surely there aren't any major changes coming?

There is a KM School for elders and ministerial servants scheduled Oct - Dec 2005. This date range is for the US Branch, dates may be different for other countries. The school will be 1 day for ministerial servants, and 2 days for elders. I wonder if there will be a new Pay Attention to the Flock book?

Traditionally in the US they try to have these schools over the Thanksgiving or Christmas weekend. So the timeframe seems right. The OM book was released too in the spring of the year and the talk was given at the Service Meeting rather than at a district convention. I remember when that happened, there was a big buzz about what was going to be said; some thought the beginning of the GT was going to be given; not me. I wonder what the big buzz will be this time as to what is pending. This book is given to all baptized JWs in good standing so I wonder if they are printing them now?

As I recall, the old OM book was also released at a Sunday meeting. I knew about it in advance because I was the literature drone at the time. Did I feel special or what!

You're credible and I believe the above is true. Being so, this is likely the most important piece of news in Dub Land in recent times. Hardly anything "official" from the WT will be as relevant as this new book in 2005.

When they release a new "Organized" book, it's because there will be procedure changes. But let us not raise our expectations too high. Probably there won't be major "adjustments." Remember: the governing-nobodies are the Masters of Anticlimax.
