What happens when the faithful and discreet slave die off?

I am a bit fuzzy, but I always remembered that the "faithful and discreet slave" were the annointed members of the Governing Body and that they were led by Jehovah God.... of course according to the WTS.

Now, as they get older and other WTS corporations have been formed and the President of the WTS himself isn't of the "annointed" then what happens when the "annointed" Governing Body members who represent the "faithful and discreet slave" die off?

Where is the intermediatary between the regular JW's and Jehovah? What will happen to the light that kept getting brighter? Will the light go out? Who will make the decisions? At what point will people now realize that it's just plain old men in Bethel and there are no more "faithful and discreet slave" class on earth to guide the way????

I know they are transitioning authority, bringing in younger Bethelites but they aren't the "annointed" ones ... what happens in 20 years?

What do you think the plan is?

I've always heard 1st Hezekiah 4:18 quoted when this topic comes up: "Then a woman shall lead them. At that time she will don her top hat of righteousness, accented by her pink boa of truth, and offer posts of reason and wisdom."

But I assumed it was all just JW BS, so I blew it off...

Actually it's a top hat of bridalshowerness. But that is righteous too.

Honest response, the annointed numbers jump all over the place every year, so there will probably always be a few annointed lying around that they can somehow attach to whatever they do. Even it boils down to a simple group of elderly "advisors". They'll invent a new "class" name based on some obscure scripture that doesn't apply at all, and everyone will swallow it like they always have.

Maybe Blondie could comment here, but doesn't the latest Watchtower viewpoint say that there WILL be annointed still on the earth when the end comes? So that's another date-but-not-a-date, since you would naturally reason that they must all be very old. Of course, since there are new annointed ones every year, they'll never run out of them, while always keeping the number low. Brilliant, an eternal state of "nearness".

The wt has made it trough bigger transitions than that. The anointed will die off, and nonanointed will carry on. Or, new anointed will miraculously appear, and they will carry on. The sheeple can be convinced of anything, having their minds remade by the governing brainwashers. Actually, the wt may become more mainstream protestant. If it does, it will succeed well, imo.

According to WT FDS include ALL annointed around the world. But as Ray Franz confirm in his books, The "food" was always prepared without consulting anyone outside Brooklyn. He tel in his book that he presented the isuse to the "oracle", his uncle Freddy, and he got one of those "rationalized" but hard to understand response.

you ask what will happen... Freddy could have "rationalized" that question real quick but he died many years ago so they haven't provided a clear answer yet. But dont worry the "generation" issue was as big as your question and they found (??) a way out of it during 1995, after that year deppression has taken its toll on old timer jw..
