What 'exactly' changed in Adam when he sinned?

According to the dubs, and other faiths, Adam was created with no defects of any kind. He was created with no sin. Then Adam sinned. When he did....something changed in him to cause him to die. What was it exactly? A disease? A defect? Name the defect if you can or know.

Did god make a hidden trigger in Adam and Eve only so that if they did wrong, it would change them genetically so they would have a DNA makeup that includes "sinfullness" that they would pass onto their offspring just like the Aids virus? How precious! Now that Adam was sinful.....did he now do things different than he would have before he sinned.....like masterbate, overeat, look lustfully on his childrens offspring years later, steal stuff, smoke wild herbs, poop in his neighbors yard? How did Adam change now that he was sinful?

    Edited to add more stuff,

Btw....why would god cause a genetic defect that Adam would pass on that would make people sin......a thing that god hates?

    Gumby, good question.

    No personal answer though.

Once it was suggested that the human body had to eat the perfect food in the garden. Once Adam and Eve were exiled, they could not eat of it. And when the garden was destroyed in the flood, there was no hope for humankind since all the vegetation outside the garden was flawed. Thus the trees mentioned in Revelation 22:2 are literal and that in the new paradise, as people eat the fruit from them, their bodies will become perfect like Adam and Eve's.

(This is not a teaching of Blondie or the WTS)

    Nothing.

What killed Adam and Eve was that they were no longer allowed to eat the "perfect" fruit of Eden (or, at least, that's according to what the WTS said up through the Survive Armageddon book).

Other than that, the only thing I can think of to explain this "change" is that they had sex.

Ewwwwwww: a Gehenna-offense if ever there was one.

edit to add: LOLOL @ blondie...our posts crossed

explain this "change" is that they had sex.

Onacruse, this is a teaching of the LDS/Mormons (and others).

That God gave Adam and Eve 2 conflicting laws:

To be fruitful and fill the earth

Not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad (including the knowledge of how to have sex and make babies).

Had to break one to keep the other....doomed from the beginning.

(There is a place where the WTS backtracked on that statement in the Survive Armageddon book. I will try and find it)

IMHO the Genesis account is an ancient tale (compiled with other tales, and attributed to Moses) that attempts to explain why man dies, but more likely has an underlying meaning regarding spiritual (rather than physical) death or "disconnection from the divine".

Actually the Watchtower does teach this. I believe it's in the Revelation Book. It shows the river coming down watering the trees that give off it's yeild according to season. The leaves are for healing. They represent the kingdom arrangement that will heal the nations.

The only explanation the watchtower gives for the dilema in the thread subject, is that "sin entered man" when he ate of the fruit. If it entered him. it wasn't there before, so Jehovah put it there. Pretty damn stupid if you ask me. Give every single human creature that is to be born, a malignant disease that CAUSES people to do the things you do not want. That Jehovah's a rascal....aint he?

He was scared of God - he didn't really trust God now - he was hiding in the garden, and when approached ? - "but the woman you gave me!"

Adam now had a spirit of fear, not a Holy Spirit (trust in unconditional love) - spiritually dead.

Rubbed of on Cain also - "I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will slay me" "the LORD said to him, "Not so!, If any one slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken..".

But looking darkly at Grace can produce something even more blind/dark - sinning away but in pride believing that God is on your side, but NOT the others (envy) - it's the others who are badies and deserved to be killed - a denial and projection of their own fear that just won't go away - "If Cain is avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy-sevenfold".
