If you can tell me that you think JW may have the truth and that is why you want to read them you can have them."

Why does that have to be a condition on it? Doesn't sound very christian to me. Does she want you to lie just to get the mags? I think you need another supply line if that is possible.

"I can only give you one (1) copy of the Awake! on blood, provided you do not trash it....respect its authority."

They don't realize that that is idol worship.

I'm not concernd about getting access to those mags any more.

I just want to know if the Borg has ever issued instructions on who shouldn't have them.

I haven't seen, or heard, any such order in any of the recent paranoid rantings against the big scary people outside (& inside, see WT July 15) their cult.

Even the DF'd have access to the current magazines if they go to the meetings.

Disfellowshipped persons may obtain the magazines or other literature for their personal use at the magazine and literature counter at the Kingdom Hall. Disfellowshipped persons should not be included on a personal magazine route.

Respect the authority of the Awake??? What authority??? The magazine whose first editor was the nutcase Clayton J. Woodworth who published endless articles in the magazine articles on the evils of aluminum cooking pots?

The same magazine whose early issues stated that germs were not a cause of disease, and that "thinking people" know that vacinations are good for nothing?

The Awake is no authority on any subject, and should be treated accordingly.

no more stacks of mags under the bed or handing out literature without a comitment to read it.

WHOOPS, I just moved and I have about 6 huge boxes full of literature, including TONS of unplaced magazines. It's going in storage and then I'm going to try and sell it/do something else with it, after I get more settled in. Not thread-stealing though. I didn't know JW's would refuse to give out literature. Although I remember them teaching us to really discern if we thought the householder was just taking the literature to get us to go away or if they would actually read it. There were plenty of times when I or people with me would say, after it was in their hands, "are you really planning on reading this?" or something similar. And they would give it back a lot of the time and say, "no."

    Thanks Blondie,

I don't know how you do it.

I have that OKM in my hot little hand and there is nothing in it about not giving litterature to unbaptised, born in non believers, opposers or any other description that may apply to me.

In my last communication I asked them to take look at page 28 of the August 22 1984 Awake. They can't question how I knew about that one as they know I have the Volumes and Indexes. They are taking it in good humour, so far. I had better not push it any further. I have told them that I am no longer asking for those magazines.

    Another funny one....

I asked what their plans were for the weekend.

    Them "Going Witnessing"

Me "Placing magazines that you don't want me to read with people you don't know? :-)"

    Them "Yes :-)"

    A laugh a minute.

As I have been refused the latest WTers by my daughter I have decided to change the background on my JukeBox, a computer hooked into a superb sound system that I know she cannot resist playing with this weekend.

    Blacksheep,

It is a personal control issue. It has nothing to do with WTS policy, written or unwritten.

Wow! I didn't know they did away with personal subcriptions! No subscription campaign twice a year?

So df's are supposed to go to the literature counter at the local KH in order to get a mag? I will not step inside one as long as I can help it (never say never!)!
