by lovelylil inthis is really making me mad.
i write articles about different bible topics.
they are mostly geared to new christians to help them get a better understanding of basic doctrine, christian life, and christianity in the early church.

What or Who do JW's think that the "Anti-Christ" is? Dec Watchtower is conf
by booker-t ini recently read the spanish edition of the december watchtower on the anti-christ and i am still confused as to what jw's believe the anti-christ is.
i know they believe that the churches of christendom are part of it but the december watchtower did not specifically state so.
also what do jw's believe is the mark of the beast and the 666. i never really got a definite explanation on this even when i was a jw's.

Is there ANY doctrines of the JWS that you appreciate?
by new boy inmany remarks seem to in indicate they have no redeeming believes......................i can't agree.. i appreciate lots a things about the way i was raised.. 1. pacifism, nonviolence.
sad even though i was a pacifist, my god jehovah was an angry pissed off god who one day wants to kill most everyone...............guess he (her) needs to practice what he (her) preaches.........anyway i'm so happy that they taught me something even their god is having a hard time with!.
2.and most important......................................well i can't remember right now......but when it comes to me, i'll let you know.. newboy.

Only 7 years to go until 2014 - What will happen then?
by truthseeker inthanks to a poster, we now have the number of memorial partakers worldwide and the number has increased by over 230.. i forget how many there are now, but there are enough threads on the forum to find the info, as well as interesting stats.. .
the watchtower bible & tract society has always been a chronology-based religion.. from its start, russell predicted the christ would bring the end of the world in 1914. when that failed, jesus came invisibly in that year and then selected the international bible students in 1918.. the three and a half years that rutherford and his cronies were in prison during 1914-1918 supposedly parallel the 1,000 + days mentioned in daniel.. then we have the long-forgotten, remembered by no one, "trumpet blasts" at various locations in the u.s. during the 1920s.. in 1931 the name jehovah's witnesses was chosen over the international bible students and four years later, the anointed had been sealed and the door shut to newcomers, although replacements could always find a way to squeeze through and seemingly still do so today.. unknown to many witnesses, 1957 would have marked the end of the generation of 1914, simply because one of the gb felt that the launch of sputnik signified the end times.

Transgender - A Case of Tested Friendship
by Amazing infriendship comes in all stages, shapes, and sizes, from the very close, as brothers, built over a lifetime, to the budding kind that has only a few months or a year or two.
i have been friends with sam (fictious name) for about seven years.
we are not real close friends, but have a good quality relationship that is mostly confined to the office.. recently, sam told me that he had an issue with a female agent who tried to get him fired.

by ness21 inyay!
i was brought up as a j/w and my mum stopped going when i was a teenager.
i tried to get back into it as an adult but spent more time in the bible studies arguing, so i kind of realised after a few years it was going nowhere.. spent years just studying on my own cos i couldnt find a christian organisation i felt i agreed with and stayed clear of church cos of so called.

would you call someone or go to their house to discuss concerns with WT?
by truthsearcher ini wonder would you call someone or go to their house to discuss concerns that you are having with the wt?
is that a scary thought?
under what conditions would you consider it?

Do you regret disowning your former religion?
by JH inbefore converting to the jw religion, i was catholic.. the jw's made me write to the catholic church and tell them that i found the truth in the jw's, and that i didn't want to be a catholic anymore.
i guess that most of us had to do this.. i remember writting a letter to the catholic chruch and stating verses why i thought they were wrong and why the jw's were right.. maybe i should write another letter to that catholic church and tell them that i made a mistake and that both religions are full of sh*t.. .
