I have a question: Is Vincent Toole acting on behalf off the GB/WBTS or is he on his own?

Victoria, Australia: Report on Oct. 11th hearing involving Steven Unthank
by AndersonsInfo invictoria, australia: report on oct. 11th hearing involving steven unthank.
(this report is from an anonymous xjw who attended the hearing.
i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.

Sir82, they will NEVER put anything on jw-media.org that has something to do with a disfellowshipped/apostate. They know that would result in r&f starting to wonder and chew the cud. Instead the only news at jw-media is the ones that makes them look like victims. "Look at all this bad things the world is doing to us, beating us and putting us in jail, just like Jesus, the end is NEAR". But when dubious doctrines and odd procedures from the borg is getting the worlds attention, then they are quiet like a scared little mouse.

I can´t believe this! The watchtowers own lawyers actually is denying the existance of the fds. And by doing so, they(according to the jw) deny christ. Hence, THEY are the antichrist. Omg it´s so sad this is going to escape the minds of Jdubs.

I think it´s great that they focus on design. It looks cleaner and more alive. Good for them.

What if...?
by Shrugged inimagine the following: .
a letter is read in all congregations, which reads: "it is no longer necessary to shun those who are disfellowshipped.
friendship and family relations can continue as usual.

Maby you are right N.drew, but it´s a matter of principle. At least i would let them know that i suffered big time because of the shunning. I have a friend who is disfellowshipped and we hang out sometimes, nice guy, but he wants to come back to the borg and is a steadfast KH visitor. When he does come back, i fear that he will cut contact with me again. How shall i react to that? Maby he gets disfellowshipped again and wants to resume contact? I dont know man...

How important is it to you that Lawence Hughes wins his case against the WT and doctors
by zengalileo injust curious.
in my opinion it is the most importantr thing ex jws should be supporting right now.
the case is at a crucial point.

I´ve heard that Lawrence story has very serios holes in it, and is partially true. Is this correct? If the WT did gave the girl orange juice and arsenic then of course it´s a hideous act! But it seems almost to horrible to be true.

Imagine the following:
A letter is read in all congregations , which reads: " It is no longer necessary to shun those who are disfellowshipped. Friendship and family relations can continue as usual. Of course we are delighted that the faithful and discreet slave gives us new light in these matters " ...
I've thought a lot about this, and how I would react if this became a reality. To be honest , I think I would give the cold shoulder to those who might begin to contact me again. After all this time, i dont see how i could act like nothings ever happened.
And how would they react when I say thanks but no thanks ? Would they think I was heartless and cold ? Would they understand at all ?
This will of course never happen , but it is fun to play with the idea . :)

"Techically this is correct because they are known as The Watchower Bible and Tract Society of Australia."
Nevertheless they can´t dodge the fact that in reality there is active congregations of Jehovah´s Witnesses in australia. The magistrate should be able to see that the watchtower is trying to sneak through a loophole in the law to protect themselves.

"A number of the legal arguments presented by the Watch Tower Society shocked the members of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses who were observing. This included that there is no Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses operating in the State of Victoria or in Australia."
...WTF??
Im not an expert in the law, but this seems to be a statement that is so far out there!? How could a legal representive for the WT say that it doesn´t exist a christian cong of Jw:s in the entire Australia? That´s quite laughable, the court must find that "argument" very amusing. Can someone explane this to me? :) / exjw from sweden
