So your telling me you can be an a**hole until you get bapitized, and other tales...
by Confuzzled inwithout launching into my saga, of which many of you already know, i have a jw baby daddy who besides being a jw is an emotional midget w/women issues....i continue to come here for support and info concerning the future of my infant and the quirks of the jw family & belief system at large, and what i will be dealing with in the future, bf or no bf, so this inquiry has nothing to do with my relationship with this person or lack-there-of, i'm just seeking answers to what seems puzzling.
my posts are lacking in any specific detail as to not alert any possible lurking done my boyfriend or his family members, call me paranoid but it sometimes the circumstances, should they be stumbled on, are far to unique for it to be anybody other then this person, or their family.. anyhoo, my non-baptized jw bf is mad at his mother, along with many of his brothers and sisters (he has a huge family).
mama, it turns out was never baptized, even though she has been a jw for as long as my boyfriend has been alive (almost 40 yrs).

If someone is benefitting from being in a cult, should we leave them there?
by Confuzzled inif scientology has narcanon, and it has gotten people off drugs (although that 85% sucess rate they say they have is suspect), and becoming a jw sorta forces you into line, would it make sense to leave someone in if they were helping them?
if you knew somebody was a drunk, sex addict, drug addict, what have you, and they were studying, and it appeared that they were actually being helped (albeit by twisted means) would you leave them be?
like, if uncle jim was a fall down drunk that ran around on his wife, then someone introduced him to the wts, and it all stopped, would you still try and expose the cult even if they were actually helping and it was working?.

Again debating Sipping The Kool-Aid, I'm just frustrated....
by Confuzzled insorry if this is rambling.
i just have some thoughts i need to get out.
i've mentioned before my thought about faking my way through the cult, or at least pretending to, would make my life easier.

JW Weddings, Memories, Practices, Or Common Experiences, Please Share
by Confuzzled inso the bf is out of state for a wedding.
when he told me it was today, the day before easter, during lent, i realized it was probably for one of his jw or lasped jw family members.
he also happened to mention there was no booze at the function (horrors!

I just want to say how much I hate the f***ing cult
by Confuzzled ini posted here a few times some months back about my jw bf, and i'm glad i did because i was on the fence about the whole thing.
i had to stop because the nature of his profession might have brought him here, and the details i had given it wouldn't have taken much to figure out who i was talking about.
i still lurk though, daily.. i hate this.

I didn't disappear
by Confuzzled ini was here a few weeks back and i do continue to lurk and read everyones posts, but i chose to quit posting myself because i read a lot of the archives and i was horrified to find out that people actually read and match up stories to turn into the elders at the hall, and cause havoc in members, and non members lives.
i felt i had given away to many distinctive details about the person in my life, so i decided to quit postiing for mine and their sakes.
someone in another thread mentioned me so i decided to pop my head up..

"Escape", by Carollyn Jessop
by Confuzzled inabout a year ago i read "escape," by carollyn jessop.
it's the autobiography of a former polygamous marriage in the cult the fundamentalist church of jesus christ of latter day saints, who managed to escape with her eight children.
this was the cult that they seized all the children from in texas for child abuse.

Question About Tithing
by Confuzzled insome of you may have read my post about my lasped jw boyfriend, and his pressure on me to consider to convert eventually (i'm not going too!
) but i still would like to better understand the church and watch tower society better so i can understand this mindset he has.
he makes much to do about the lack of an offering plate, and "the 2 boxes, one for the church, the other for the needy, nobody is put on the spot to donate".
