There may be a fair difference between Socialism and Communism. Have you read the works of Upton Sinclaire?

Good reading. Of course, like all good ideas, things tend to get skewed over time. He is such and interesting read. Profits of Religion was one good read.

    Lords, Ladies, Gentlemen and Comrades,

I am a card carrying member of the ACLU.

The same ACLU that has defended the usage of the confederate flag, the KKK and the tea party's freedom of speech. The same ACLU that has also defended LGBT rights, civil rights, communists and the Jehovah's Witnesses.

I agree that the Libertarian ideal is almost as evil as Helen Keller but nothing comes close to her wickedness. If it wasn't for Keller being blind and deaf she'd probably have completed her mission as the anti-Christ.

I wish I could give you a Christian blessing but the dark lord compels me...

    HAIL SATAN!

StopTheTears, I hope you don't consider yourself a christian because your hatred of communism would mean a hatred of certain principles of christianity. 1st century christians practiced communism. Go read the early chapters of the book of Acts.

I believe the problem with most people who see communism as evil is that they don't really know what it is. Many people ignorantly equate communism with dictatorships that take away peoples rights to free speech and other human rights. This association likely arose due to the fact that many communist nations have been dictatorships.

Communism is simply about having an economy where the resources are equitably shared among consumers as opposed to having consumers freely compete to gain as much as their buying power and desire permits. Just like capitalism it has its advantages and disadvantages.

Personally, I prefer a mix of communism and capitalism to gain the advantages of both and to help counteract or minimize the disadvantages of both. Naked extreme capitalism isn't healthy and Naked extreme communism has yet to be shown to be a practicable working system.

Helen Keller has made many positive contributions to society. Perhaps you, stopthetears, could share with us what contributions you have made to society so far? Please avoid character assassination. It's something we Ex JWs (who have had it done to us) really really hate.

Well this thread tell us that McCarthyism still rears it ugly head even in the information age. Some people are real slow learners.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCarthyism

McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence. It also means "the practice of making unfair allegations or using unfair investigative techniques, especially in order to restrict dissent or political criticism."[1] The term has its origins in the period in the United States known as the Second Red Scare, lasting roughly from 1950 to 1956 and characterized by heightenedpolitical repression against communists, as well as a campaign spreading fear of their influence on American institutions and of espionage bySoviet agents. Originally coined to criticize the anti-communist pursuits of Republican U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin, "McCarthyism" soon took on a broader meaning, describing the excesses of similar efforts. The term is also now used more generally to describe reckless, unsubstantiated accusations, as well as demagogic attacks on the character or patriotism of political adversaries.
During the McCarthy era, thousands of Americans were accused of being communists or communist sympathizers and became the subject of aggressive investigations and questioning before government or private-industry panels, committees and agencies. The primary targets of such suspicions were government employees, those in the entertainment industry, educators and union activists. Suspicions were often given credence despite inconclusive or questionable evidence, and the level of threat posed by a person's real or supposed leftist associations or beliefs was often greatly exaggerated. Many people suffered loss of employment and/or destruction of their careers; some even suffered imprisonment. Most of these punishments came about through trial verdicts later overturned,[2] laws that were later declared unconstitutional,[3]dismissals for reasons later declared illegal[4] or actionable,[5] or extra-legal procedures that would come into general disrepute.

If you would do the most basic research, other than the schizoid one you've done, you would have found out that Helen Keller's teacher was the one who taught her sign language making it obvious that it predated her.

As far as who invented it you can go here to find out.

Haha! Hoover kept dirt files on everyone, Including John Kennedy. He knew pretty well how many women this American hero was rooting. So what?

Was about to post the exact same thing.

When I read the OP post I thought he/she was writing a satire. Reminds me of the satire video spin on original Karate Kid being the bad guy.
