I had and elders wife like that with me,she was my "good" friend.Well she was in my bathroom and I left a razor down on the side of the tub....I was always the type of person to put my razors up(my daughter was 4 at the time)That one time I forgot and she was visiting me.I always keep my shower curtian closed. So she had to pull the curtian over and look a round to see the razor. That was a bit much for me...she come over for a visit one day with another "loving "sister and told me"you should always keep your razors up,away from your daughter"..of cousre at the time,I wouldn't say boo to any one.So I just took what she said and did.Another time when her and her husband were over they sat there looking around at my things, pointing out what I should throw away.Well I did throw some of my music away. I even had her looking threw my windows one day and banging on them, when I was sleeping in one morning...blaaahhhhhh.

Stoopid Elders - everyone KNOWS it's that DAMN POLKA MUSIC!! Use an accordion, be cast into Gehenna...

If you wanted to have some "fun" with these guys you could take some artificial sweetener power and "repackage" it in a little pouch of plastic film food wrap, seal it with a tightly twisted rubberband and leave it in you console, along with a baggie full of oregano. They'll find it, have heart attacks and die on the spot and your problem will be solved. Lousy snoops!

How weird, this brought back something i'd just dismissed...

when I had one of my last sheperding calls; the elder in question was invited in to my house and I walked in front of him towards the kitchen to make him a drink...

I started to put the kettle on and realised he was nowhere to be seen and found him in the sitting room looking through my bookcases and music..I stood by the door, just watching in disbelief - the other two women who were with me already tried to get my attention and keep me chatting until he was 'finished'.

At the time I thought it was just a really rude man with no manners - I nearly said ' excuse me what are you looking for...? but could'nt - very odd behaviour.

He did comment that none of it was to his taste, looking back, I say that that means I rock!

I guess I was weighed and found wanting he did'nt put in much effort in that day and I hav'nt seen him since.

    LOL @ Nathan!!!

Yeah! I got that Polish CD as a souvenier when I went to Poland this past August. And the idea of the "artificial sweetner" and "oregano", sounds like a winner! I'm not reluctant to do that and it sounds tempting, however, there would be one problem with that. Here in Japan, drugs like the ones common in the Western world, don't come by so frequently since the cultural society here is unlike many developed countries. So the dilemma is that the Japanese police might stumble upon them and freak out since they probably can't tell the real thing from a "prop" and I'll really have to do some explaining. (Or some time).

    Hi Alligator:

Isn't it nice how they can turn their snoopyness into a concern for your spiritual welfare? Back a few years when our family was still good JW's, we found out that an elder in our hall was listening in on his son's phone calls to our son. Guess he was worried our son was going to corrupt his. This absolutely infuriated me.

How's it going over there in Japan? I am curious at how the governments in other countries are playing this terrorism card in the news. Over here in the US today they say the terrorists are planning a "spectacular" attack soon. Just was wondering how the Japanese Press is playing this out.

    Take care.

You know what I would do??? I would quicly approach them about what THEY did. I would ask them WHY they went through your car. I would ask what their motive was in doing so. I would put them on the spot and in no uncertain terms tell them that you will no longer deal with questions from them. Then I would tell them to leave you alone and pray to Jehovah for forgiveness due to their deceit.

    Hey Alligator,

I wonder if your problem is not with the elders but with your wife. Elders are paid snoops. That is their job.

If I found out my wife was riding around with elders in my car and then gave them access to it unsupervised, I would be very upset with her.

Even a casino won't let me sit at a blackjack table for long if I am not playing.

When the elders and other JWs tried to tell my wife and my sons that I was bad association, I declared war on them. I summoned them to meet with me and with other former Witnesses in a public forum. I told my story on the front page of the local daily newspaper. I sat with the Pay Attention book on my lap during an interview on local television. I ran newspaper ads and wrote my experiences and sent those to all who asked.

I confronted the evil of the Watch Tower Corporation head on and publicly and I am still doing so.

If you are willing to give the JWs access to your wife and to your car, I can't see how you can be surprised when they worm their way through your belongings. I hope you someday get the courage to stand up and confront the evil and the lies. Fear and frustration vanished for me when I saw them running from me. They are chicken house weasels and they only prey on the weak and the vulnerable. They fear the strong armed with facts and willing to go public.

Once I feared their shunning, but it has been a gift and I only hope it continues. Once I made the decision to confront them, my wife had to make the decision to go with them and be my enemy or to stay with me. If she would rather be my enemy, I didn't want her. I wanted to know. My parents, my brother, my Witness sons and relatives are a real disappointment to me. I am ashamed of them. I am ashamed to be related to them. They and not welcome in my home OR in my car. They choose, with full knowledge, to support a book publishing corporation masquerading as a religion that abuses people and divides families.

I am proud to stand with the visible victims.

Dude, your underwear is obviously too tight.

One clown started going through my music in the car one day and I took him back to the Hall. Should have made him walk.

JWs don't have a 'right to privacy'.

They give it up along with their right to 'freedom of speech'.

They then assume the same for everyone else.

    That is so true.

I was in an electronics store with my wife and a couple of in-laws when they started talking about the movie Angel Heart. they started talking about how much the movie was demonized and how they didn't like it. Well, I chimed in and said that I did like it and that I thought it was a great movie with a compelling story to tell. I get these dirtly looks from them and they say sarcastically "You Liked that movie?", to which I respnded with a resounding and very firm, "YES".

I guess since they outnumbered me three to one, they expected me to acquiesce (sp) and just follow their line of thought since they were on a roll.

It's interesting that these same people will justify and rave about the Star Wars saga, a movie that contains the same basic spiritualist (the force) overtones.
