Well said, Searcher! The apostles weren't special witnesses of the Father, they were special witnesses of Jesus. And though Jesus gave all glory to the Father, the Father and the Spirit both bore witness of Christ.

    Thanks for posting!

Go back to Isaiah, who provides that name, just 2 verses down from where you stopped reading:

    ISAIAH 62:4 -

    Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken;

neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate:

but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah,

    and thy land Beulah:

for the Lord delighteth in thee,

and thy land shall be married.

Its interesting how nearly all the scriptures you quote, you need to insert the words Jesus or Christ. Sounds like someone is manipulating the text to change its meaning.

Well the apostles werent very good witneses of Jesus, as none of them wrote a gospel. Didnt they know or werent they told by God it might be a good idea to write a definitive account ?

Please dont tell me Matthew wrote Matthew.

" But in 1931, we embraced the truly distinctive name Jehovah's Witnesses. Author Chandler W. Sterling refers to this as " The greatest stroke of genius" on the part of J.F. Rutherford, then president of the Watchtower Society. "_____Proclaimers of God's kingdom book page 151-152

As Jehovah's Witnesses, Rutherford refused to acknowledge the Authority that had been given to Jesus in Matthew 28: 18

which allowed Jesus to be able to give the directive in Acts 1:8

    Antichrist

Definition: Antichrist means against or instead of Christ_____Reasoning book page 32

    If someone says_____

' Christians are supposed to be witnesses for Jesus not for Jehovah '

    You might reply:

' But here is something that may be a new thought to you..... Of whom was Jesus " The faithful witness " ?____Reasoning Book page 208

Rutherford even goes over Jehovah's head because Jehovah said

" This is my son, the beloved, whom I approve listen to him " ( Matt 17:5 )

Rev 20:4 " --for the WITNESS they bore to JESUS and speaking about God----"

and not Witnesses to Jehovah and talking about JESUS.

WasBlind: [quotes] "Christians are supposed to be witnesses for Jesus not for Jehovah"

What Rutherford and the others didn't know is that Jesus and Jehovah were one and the same. That's why they have the same titles and designations. When man fell, the Father (El, Elyon) appointed his Son, Jehovah, to be the intercessor between him and man. At the conclusion of the Millennium, once all men have been judged and assigned to their respective glories and the earth has been cleansed, glorified and redeemed, Jehovah will present it back to the Father and it will rejoin the Father's dominion of worlds.

Both Jesus and Jehovah will judge the nations, according to the scriptures, but John reports that "the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son." (John 5:22) Both are also the beginning and the end and the king of kings. Then, when Jesus told the Jews, "Before Abraham was, I AM," it was a tacit admission that he was Jehovah, and the Jews acted accordingly by becoming enraged and picking up stones to stone him.

So traditonal Christians win either way!

What Rutherford and others didn't know is that Jesus and jehovah is one in the same____Cold Steel

    Hello Cold Steel

The things I have quoted come from the Reasoning from the Scriptures book. WTS food

It's useless trynna show a Jehovah's witness that they are wrong from a Trinitarian point of view

in which they don't believe in

You have to be able to make your point usin' thier own literature and belief system

Through the WTS own works, Many have proven them to be

False prophets because like Hananiah, they made folks believe in a falsehood and claimed these falsehoods were from God

By thier own definition on page 32 in the Reasoning book, they are the Antichrist because they

introduce a new thought on page 208 in the Reasoning book to witness for instead of the Christ
