Love it! I think you did a great job! You called them out on points the general public wouldn't be able to. They were shaken from their prepared presentation with valid points.
It can only be good for your children to see/know/hear that religions who lie and use fear are not full of truth or love! It will no doubt help them think as they get older and learn to be discerning! I give you a standing ovation for making them think about and dwell on the things that are wrong and hateful in their religion! Conversations with people at the door really do make you question your faith. You may have helped someone take a closer look at the things that have been bothering them but that they have put off and not wanted to think about for fear of doubts arising.
