they arrive at their explaination of the bible by WRITING THEIR OWN BIBLE.

by knowing basic human tendancies and basic human psychology, it's easy to guilt people into submission. and capitalising on this is what the jdubs have done marvelously.

but know what manny, i was born in and figured it was bullshit by 12-13 years old.

the difference between spirituality and religion is comparable to freeman verse prisoner.

the truth is better that fiction, unless your a boring person.

What Mankkeli has yet to realize is that just about every Christian based faith has drawn up their own reason's god uses them or their organization

as his truly spiritually guided organization. There is no singularity to this proclamation.

The supposed Signs of The End is also used and doctrinalised by such organizations as the Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Worldwide

Church of God, the list is long. The question remains did god choose any of them or did they self identifiably choose themselves to create their own

semblance of power and accumulative financial support. Which one did god choose ?

The self anointing propaganda by these organizations including the JWs tells the true story.

jwfacts - If you have any rebuttal for the comments in the reasoning book, Please do provide it, I can help adjust your view on the matter. By the way, What rhetorical fallacies are there, please present your views.

thetrueone - What evidence do you have that any of the churches were not chosen at all?. Dont lets be at haste, God will act at his own due time. All we need is patience. I have thoroughly explored scientific research for answers, but each time I look up to science, I always hit a dead-end, so the bottom line is we have to let theologians keep doing their work, I'm sure they will get there.

mankkeli: Lied about his name. Lied about his education. Lied about his academic publication record.

Hypocrit, liar and -on top of it- to stupid to keep his false story even marginally coherent.

So they do not resort to philosophical arguments to evade its clear statements of truth or to justify the way of life of people who have abandoned its moral standards.

The Bible does not have clear statements of truth. That is why there are 35,000 Christian religions. There is no Bible chapter explaining even one single doctrine, such as the soul, hell, the nature of God of the resurrection. There is a scattering of contradictory scriptures, so each religion chooses which one is figurative and which one is literal.

In pointing out the meaning of symbolic language in the Bible, they let the Bible provide its own explanation, instead of giving their theories as to its significance.(1 Cor. 2:13) Indications as to the meaning of symbolic terms are usually found in other parts of the Bible. (As an example, see Revelation 21:1; then, regarding the meaning of “sea,” read Isaiah 57:20. To identify “the Lamb” referred to in Revelation 14:1, see John 1:29 and 1 Peter 1:19.)

Again, that is rubbish. Just look at how many different interpretations the Watchtower has provided on the symbolic language of Daniel and Revelation.

As for fulfillment of prophecy, they apply what Jesus said about being alert to events that correspond to what was foretold. (Luke 21:29-31; compare 2 Peter 1:16-19.) Conscientiously they point out those events and draw attention to what the Bible indicates they mean.

Again, they prove they have no idea what Jesus meant, which is why they have so many failed predictions. First they said the last days started in 1799, now they think it is 1914. Soon that will change as well.

Jesus said that he would have on earth a “faithful and discreet slave” (his anointed followers viewed as a group), through which agency he would provide spiritual food to those making up the household of faith. (Matt. 24:45-47) Jehovah’s Witnesses recognize that arrangement.

There is nothing to indicate the Slave were "anointed followers as a group." Even the Watchtower leaders are trying to distance themselves from that application, now applying it to just the Governing Body. The most likely application is that the slave class are the elders.

As was true of first-century Christians, they look to the governing body of that “slave” class to resolve difficult questions—not on the basis of human wisdom, but by drawing on their knowledge of God’s Word and his dealings with his servants, and with the help of God’s spirit, for which they earnestly pray.—Acts 15:1-29; 16:4, 5.

The word Governing Body does not appear in the Bible, and neither does the concept. Acts 15:2 shows it was a large group of men: " they arranged for Paul and Barnabas and some others of them to go up to the apostles and older men in Jerusalem regarding this dispute."

God's Spirit obviously has nothing to do with leading the Watchtower Governing Body in difficult questions, since they doctrine keeps changing.

Just thought I would check in on this trolling grand maal seizure of a thread to see if our JW protagonist had explained yet how the JWs arrived at their explanation of the seven trumpets.

I see nothing of the sort, as expected.

Right, and if and when they DO, THEN start selling their story as a believable one...

jwfacts - Your expectation of how the bible should have been written in order for doctrinal lines to be drawn was based on your view of a modern organized form of learning which we presently have. Nowadays, we have textbooks being written chapter by chapter with each chapter having its own objectives and goals, that is our own modern day academic approach to learning, this shouldnt be expected of a material written thousands of years ago and compiled over a long period of time based on activities that are deemed to have future significance. Our own modern day approach of studying shouldnt be a yardstick to measure how information should be dispensed, we are far too limited to expect the bible to have been written chapter by chapter. Thats why literatures are needed to do this job for us.

The bible has purposefully been written in order to be subjected to interpretation, such exercise give room for spiritual conversation which not only help to upbuild the conversationalists but also encourages healthy discussions and interchange of ideas of spiritual values. The WT's inconsistent interpretation shouldn't be a big deal, it is part of the organization's effort to ensure that lovers of God's word enjoy and experience a progression in their study of the bible. Ask yourself this, is science consistent?, has scientific theories remained over the years?, is there unanimity in scientific postulations?,. NO!. This is an inevitable concept of knowledge and understanding we can shy away from.

The fact that doctrines keep changing is not enough substantial evidence to dismiss the WT's divine approval, It is part of the beauty in spiritual understanding, this beauty must rather be embraced it shouldnt be purged or castigated. only spirit creatures are dormant and stagnant, humans are not created that way. In my last conversation with Jim Pellechia (a member of the writing committee), He mentioned that spiritual lights are purposefully being designed in order to be subjected to future changes, progressive modifications and transformations . For instance, Take a look arround you, you will see different brands of tangible assets, be it cars, houses, clothes and whatever. Manufacturers dont stop at the best, the pace of innovation keep moving skyrocketly at an unimaginable rate because that is the beauty of the physical nature of human. We appreciate changes and flip-flopism even if the previous one is better and more sophisticated than the current one.

So, lets leave the GB at peace and encourage current JWs to appreciate whatever they have and enjoy the beauty of it.

Yes, let's do that. Flip-flopism is indeed beautiful to the JWs. The overlapping generation is a prime example of such beauty.

Except that we do not like it here on JWN because it clearly indicates that the flip-floppers do not know what they are talking about.
