THE FLOOD - What's Jehovah's problem now?

I would offer that the "official" explanation would be that sufficient time had not elapsed to satisfy the challenge that mankind was not able to govern on their own (without God's input). That would take another 4,000+ years. Or, that it was not a fair test for mankind due to the control of the materialized demons.
That however brings up another question (all this assuming you BELIEVE the flood was a "historical" fact): How fair of a test has it been on mankind when he has always had the unfair disadvantage of being influenced by demonic forces--either literally with the materialized demons, or by the fact that Satan & his demons were "cast down" to Earth. WASN'T THAT a damn dirty move?
Cleanse the heavens, but toss the evil forces to the vicinity of the Earth? Wasn't there some other desolate planet in a system far, far away to send them??

The problem is that Jehovah is some sort of manic-depressive. First, he gets pissed cuz Adam and Eve eat off of his personal fruit tree. So he kicks them out and supposedly says "Try to govern yourselves if you are so smart."
But then he doesn't like what is going on from time to time, like the flood or the tower of babel. So instead of leaving man alone to figure it own he sticks his big fat thumb in the pie.
But he has been fairly quiet for the past couple of milenniums. Hopefully he stays busy with his erector set or whatever he is playing with right now...

PS, yes I am aware of that as well. There is a long history of natural disasters of many kinds throughout history. However I am saying that the specific story regarding the Angels coming to earth to chase skirt and one family building such a fantastic structure and shuffling animals into it and saying the earth had never rained before and it rains untill there is no more land anywhere all because the Divine Host is *issed off.
oh, THAT part, LOL !
If you beleive that - I have some swamp land if Florida I think you should invest in. As the man said in the Movie - Don't be so gullible McFly.
I think that, for ancient man that saw God in every natural wonder OR disaster, the flood had to be explained and that is how they explained it.
One has to questioN WHY they explanied it THAT way.
And chalking it up to simply myth or delusion doesn't really cut it, not to me anyways.
Too many "myths" and "miracles" end up getting explained for me to simply "write off" anything as myth or whatnot.

I know that the society's idea is enough time had to elapse to prove that mankind was not able to govern on their own without God's input.
I've never seen that idea in the Bible though.
Even if you accept that idea, there's so many contradictions since if you believe the Bible, God never stops intervening.
Adam & Eve disobey & God says "you're on your own, see if you can do better"
God then springs into leaving them alone by kicking them out of the Garden of Eden, giving them a death sentence, cursing the ground and making childbirth more painful.
God further leaves them alone by letting his rebelious angelic sons prey upon them.
Continues leaving them alone by killing 99.9% of them in a global flood.
Ignors them completely by confusing their languages at Babel.
etc etc etc.Job proved imperfect people could be faithful to God. Jesus proved perfect people could be faithful. What is the point of allowing another 2000 years of death & pain if the 'issue' has already been solved?
There are so many holes in JW theology, as a born in I'm ashamed of not seeing them earlier.

Yeah, except none of that BS is actually in the bible. I mean, a book that huge and God couldn't manage to sum up in like, one chapter?

You know sizemike, it's interesting you arrived at this conclusion.
I used to help give study to a young woman with 3 children. Her husband was always extremely sceptical about Bible "truths". The arguement you presented now is exactly what he brought up.
Knowsnothing- "Can't you see the end is near? Just as God brought about destruction in Noah's time, so it shall be today!"
Studies' husband- "Why are there two ends? Didn't God already prove man's inability to govern himself? Why didn't the Messiah come at that time? Why has judgment taken so long?"
Knowsnothing(to myself)- Man, he makes some good points....
@ this point I kinda didn't have anything to back up my arguements with anymore.

The story of flood in the book of Genesis, is just a copy of an older myth The Epic of Gilgamesh, basically a Sumerian myth. The Israel religions is a copy of older religions in the area, specially Egyptians, Sumerians and later on Greeks. In fact you will be surprised to find out the following disturbing facts regarding Israel:
1. There is not a single archeological evidence that Hebrews left Egypt around 1250 B.C. Not even a record at the Egyptian writtings mentioning Israel at the period.
2. Not a single archeological evidence from the surrounding nations that 3 million Israelites just "hang around in the desert", or even a proof in the desert that a huge nation was around.
3. Not a single archeological evidence to support the existence of David and Solomon and even Solomon's temple. The existence of king it usual supported by the writtings of the nations near by. For istance we have evidence that King Hezekiah exist from the writtings of Babylonians and Egyptians, but not a single writting to prove the existence of David and Solomon.
4. In fact Ah-moses an Egyptian King, cleared the land of Egypt from a banch of thieves and nomads known as Hyksos(Israelites)who created lot of problems to the Egyptians. As a result the Israelites came up with the myth of Moses in order to diminish their lost.
5. The Israelites used to believe in many Gods and worship Ashera Goddess, the wife of Yahweh.
