I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, so I took the liberty of scanning a copy. Here is the figures for the 2007 Service Year Report. Interesting that over 9,000 partook at the Memorial last year when the numbers should be going down. After all, the Memorial took place before the "new light" in the May 2007 WT telling you that the door apparently wasn't closed in 1935 after all. Were these brothers and sisters 'running ahead' of God's celestial chariot??!!

All in all, it wasn't a great year for the Borg: 3.1% increase worldwide but that's mostly due to the increases in Third World countries where the poor buggers have no access to the internet and are only too happy to hear that "soon", God's going to take away all their hunger problems, disease and housing problems:

I notice they spent "$121 million dollars" in caring for pioneers, missionaries, DO's and CO's, but not one red cent went to help the homeless, battered wives and children, orphans or widows.

Ah yes------let us rejoice Scooby by way of a view pints at the local pub. Man, some of those countries that had 'increases', I've never even heard of before: Azerbaijan, Burundi, Gabon, Karibati......

They know that their 3% increase is highly inflated with "15-minute-per month" elderly and sickly publishers,
and fakers who don't get out there. They know that many new ones are children. They know that many stayed
active because all they did was leave flyers on a couple of front doors (Kingdom News or Invitations).

They know that their forcing all they can out of their members makes it even harder to show "growth" for the
next year. Expect more of the same for 2008 to start with the Memorial invitations. Expect an even bigger
"Invite-them-to-the-DC" special campaign. Maybe they will start a "Circuit Assembly" invitation soon. Maybe
they will expand the "15-minute" publishers program to reach 7 million publishers. March and April are their
ultra-push months, so we will hear it starting NOW on JWD. "We have 5 full weekends in March, and the
    most special of all meetings."

I think the general increases are because of the fear mongering and tightening thats made the sheep think the end is coming, plus people already in the organization who are not really wanting to be, baptisms from people who've been going for years or just came of age, then you have to take into consideration the fact that the foreign field works increased to keep the numbers up (i know this to be the case in britain).

There's been an increase in partakers again. With the QFR changing 1935 as a cutoff date, I wonder what the increase will be in 2008?

Oh geeze, I completely forgot about that.......So let's see: If you took away the '15 minutes per month' allowed to retain your status as a publisher, take away the 'bible studies' that people have with their children and only allow bible studies with potential converts, I'm guessing we'd be seeing about a 5% - 10% decrease. One of these days you'll be allowed to be counted as a publisher for maybe just thinking about the bible.

OK, and in case it hasn't been mentioned before, this Service Report was not in the Watchtower this year----it was in the Kingdumb Ministry. I guess they figure the fewer people who see these embarassing numbers the better.
