  Volunteering For Hospice

  so, i have some free time on my hands and decided to volunteer for a hospice company that is fairly large and well known.. anyway, i visit people that have a relatively short time to live and it is very fulfilling.

  however, the company that i am going through is for-profit.

  i knew this when i signed up, but i don't care because its all about the hospice patients for me.. so, i get this email:.

  i thought about the change.

  here's my take.. i think it's a move to protect bethel and the governing body from criminal charges for pedophilia occuring within a congegation.

  criminal law usually works on specific knowledge of a situation.

  Anyone have archives of talks like "stay alive till 75?"

  i was curious if anyone knew how to listen to talks like sinutkos stay alive to 75, or fred franz talk about how there was no 1st century gb.. i can listen to them on youtube but they are on obviously apostate youtube channels.

  i would like for my wife to hear them but cant do that on apostate youtube channels.. does anyone know if these talks are available in an online archive somewhere else?.

  "DATABASE. In order for the CO to make sure to NOT appoint pedophiles, without sending the info to the branch for them to check, there will certainly HAVE to be a database for him to submit names to. Databases can be hacked. Carry on..."

  In order for the database idea to work, it would have to be a live CRM that would be accessable to all CO's. They they all could update information as it become available... To convert the current pedo data base to a cloud CRM, would be a huge undertaking. Does the WT care enough to do that? I guess only if legal tells them to.

  Or the easiest way, would be as Blondie reminded me; just ask them before appointment if they are child abusers....Oh yeah. They will tell the truth!

  Hi Guys, I'm new here...

  been lurking for years, but couldn't log on.

  for some reason, my email spam filter is inaccessable, and ended up having to open another account, simply to become a member... wonder how many others have had a similar problem.. its been an eye opener reading everyones life experiences, often so similar.. i was almost a born in, with a hardcore family.

  abusive stepfather who was one of the original jws in the area, so much so, that it was called the xxxxx family religion.... been out for 25 years, am glad every day for that!!.

  Need some advice...For my kids

  since being out mentally and missing meetings my children mention people from the hall and i cant help but feel bad that they are missing the association.

  my daughters are 4 and 2 and we live in a small town with not a whole lot to do.

  It was very hard to leave OZ and enter the into the unknown. It felt floundering for quite a while, but I knew it was the ethical thing to do. Contentment and happiness is worth the journey.

  Does this mean that the C.O. has access to the abuser database and check the name before appointment?

  Or does he just pick any brown-noser that he chooses?
